maybe you've had a bad experience with the first time you ate it, but as some experiences may be bad, doesn't mean you can't have them again and enjoy!

I didn't liked tofu the first time that I've tasted it too, and now, look just what I eat so much.

I remain unconvinced, but you never know. I have some Japanese friends who've made it for me a couple of times, maybe it's their fault!

There's still no one that have tasted my several tofu recipes that didn't like them, so, maybe it's really your japonese friends fault!

In a medium sized pot:
-one 15 oz. can of diced tomatoes
-1/2 of a Large yellow onion, diced
-one large red bell pepper, diced
-1/2 of a 4 oz. can of jalepeño peppers (or a couple of fresh ones)
-2-3 cloves of garlic

Bring the above to a boil and then simmer for 10-15 minutes, then add dried cilantro and cumin to taste

Meanwhile, in a skillet, crumble 1 pound of firm tofu in 2 tablespoons of oil, 1/4 cup rice milk, and 1 package of tofu scrambler mix (available at health food stores and most grocery stores). Fry for 3-5 minutes.

Serve the scrambled tofu with the tomato sauce in flour tortillas.

whats the problem with tofu exactly? marinated properly and cooked right it's nice stuff, it takes up flavour well, crisps up good. It's healthy and inexpensive and doesn't contain any sort of weird parasites.

TVP however, that stuff is pure cack.

there's nothing wrong with tofu if you don't have taste buds. i think tofu would be well suited for prisoners, who do deserve to eat, but don't necessarily deserve to eat good-tasting, gormet foods

tofu on it's own is flavourless but thats the point, it's meant to take up flavour

have you been cooking it wrong?

no, i just don't see the point of eating something that has no flavor on it's own.

you could probably make a piece of tree bark taste decent if you marinated it properly
