This might be a fun way for us to learn about different stations
around the world. I don't listen to radio much, but when I do
it's usually this station out of Albany, N.Y:

voted best college station in the US many times.. they "broke" many many bands (Beck, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers) ..

they have online streaming.. (note: on weekends it's mostly Mexican mariachi music, which can be cool too)

Great topic! I will have to check some of these stations out. I personally love www.kexp.org

It is out of Seattle and I have been listening to it for years.
