| When they released Bam Thwok I though it's just the first of many singles that will gain them the respect they deserve. But, few days ago I head Charles tallking on BBC6 and when asked about the songs for the tour he sayed "no, no new songs, just the old ones." almost quietly and it makes me feel so sad....... I feel those fab 4 still got alot to give the world. |

yeah, i'm pretty sure that they have something in mind. since this reunion wasn't just about a single tour and fb being so prolific i bet there is a new album under way. tho' it will probably take a while before it hits the stores due to the pixies being so famous and with a large fan base not exactly used to fb's lo-fi and couple-of-albums-a-year attitude. my guess is that fb will think twice and will do endless recording sessions before even thinking about releasing a new pixies album.

It seems Franks gotta get in the right mood in order to start writing for the Pixies...
maybe the Pixies album with be the Honeycomb out-takes..ha!

New Pixies record? ... They said that they will record a new one only if they got really good material and without repeatating themselves (in regard of the precedent). They don't want to do the same album than Doolittle or Trompe Le Monde.
And Kim Deal wasn't so excited by the idea, so I guess they will not be in studio before a long time.
And the tour was for fun and money. No real intentions to record after. Even if Frank Black told to journalists that it would be sad to not record a new Pixies album. ;) |
