just found this on the internet while avoiding work, the old hitchikers text adventure game...loads better than the new film-more like the original tv, radio, books but frustrating/addictive as hell
enjoy!

Zub I love you, I used to adore the text adventure games as a kid and hitchikers was one of my favourites, my ex always promised me he had these games and would give me a copy (never did, stupid boy) so this is great

I remember playing the text game in college. (It was already really old by that point, mind you.) I needed a LOT of help to get through it.
I was all out of luck, like a duck that died. I was all out of juice, like a moose denied. |

This game is hard.

I remember something about having to have tea and no tea at the same time, and something else about a fluff tree.

Excellent stuff, cheers zub. Looking forward to giving it a go when I have a bit of time. Used to love getting my hands on a new text adventure, then swearing at them until they reset when I couldn't get anywhere. |

It reminds me of the Commodore 64 computer.
All someone needs to do is find the code to "Snokie" or "Pooya"
rock over london, rock on chicago Why the Hell would you use the color 'beige' for your text? |

Man, the first time around last night, even w/SpudBoy's help, we never even made it out of the house before fate was sealed. Granted it was late, and we were drunk. Yeah. Damned sneaky analgesic.

hehe no worries, close your eyes if yout don't want to know and skim past this people
eat your peanuts after ford has gone to sleep in the vogon hold take off your gown hang it on the hook pick up the towel cover the drain with the towel pick up the satchel block the panel with the satchel put the junk mail on top of the satchel press the babel fish dispenser button and there you go! fish should fly in the air, jump off your gown slide along the towel, get picked up by the robot who will drop it when he runs into the satchel, the junk mail will fly in the air and so will the fish, the upper half of the room cleaning robot will collect the junk and the fish will land square in your ear!
nothing wrong with a bit of cheating m'dear! it drove me nuts for hours!

yeah, this one doesn't recognise expletives, I like how it tells you to relax if you try to hit things though!
and no problems, I'm sure I'll be nagging you for cheats when I get stuck later :P

I think that was called "Wishbringer." Never played it, but I remember seeing an ad for it.
Didn't Adams also work on a text game called "Bureaucracy"?

I think you're right I meant to google it, you got a little booklet and a little white stone with the game.
