the date is confirmed (6/14) tickets will go on sale this saturday at 9 am at the jones beach box office
my question is, has anyone heard about a presale or know a way to definitely get tickets??
i can no longer stand the thought of camping out all night , but i don't want to take a chance on missing the show
anyone have any good suggestions?

There's a presale on Pixiesmusic.com starting thursday May 5th at 12pm. (You don't need a presale password but you do need to register with a username/your own password.)

unfortunately for you there's going to be a stadium full of people having a good time because the pixies are playing

| I'd rather see any band in a small to medium size venue, but I saw the Stooges play at Jones Beach and it was great. Sometimes you know... when it's good it's just good. And seeing the Pixies with the water behind the stage could be pretty cool. Even when it's not the best venue, never underestimate a good live band, in my opinion. |

When I saw the Pixies at the Tweeter Center in Camden, people claimed that the show would be awful due to a poor venue. One of the most rocking shows I've ever been to. I thought, for a large venue, the sound was pretty damn good. I had a great time.
Some brains just work that way, that's what chemicals can do. |

| Jones Beach is a great place for a show, as long as the weather is with you! The Beach is on, and I mean right on, the water... boats actually pull up to the side of the stage sometimes to watch the show... |

aside from the pixies headlining, the best part about this show is that Interpol is playing! LCD Soundsystem as well, although i am not much of an LCD fan.

i was going to get a ticket, but didn't
4 pixies shows were great, and if this was closer to my home i'd go also, but its a fuck of a trip and no one else wanted to go
