wonderful dream last night:
my husband and i went to a pixies show at a nice small venue (fat chance with all the big arenas and festivals they're playing in real life!) and suddenly whore and homers showed up and then the guys left the stage and kim stayed, to be joined by the breeders and then they all got off the stage and THE CATHOLICS PLAYED and mr. kathryn and whore and homers gave me big hugs because they knew how happy i was. and then... tragically...i woke up.
true dream. last night.

jeez, I don't know why I would remember this, let alone dream it, but I recall you giving me shoulder squeeze when Kelley Deal hit the stage and it became apparent that the Pixies concert was morphing into a Breeders concert.
But the true pandemonium and group hug occurred when THE CATHOLICS CAME OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were all so so so happy!

What's the point, that the next group of people to be made fun of here are the many of us who've sought psychological help?

it isn't but its a dream, so there.
was some kind of pilot or something...somehow dropped out of plane with other pilots onto an extremely high platform - wooden latticed above the ocean...like 300 feet up or more...remember the other pilots running around the walkway around a shack of some sort...guard tower?...couple of them...knowing they would be shot...I ended up climbing down on the latticework - very sparce and very high up..scary...was with some old lady who wa saying things like "as long as I'm on the railing..i love railings...we can just stay right here on the railings..." either I was with her, or I WAS her, I can't remember...in any case we were both having some kind of pleasure from being on the railings - the latticework that supported this guardshack 300 feet above the ocean...it was like it was a really really tall and big lifegaurd house or something...anyway...i remember trying to take "it" out because for some reason i had to urinate and figured it would be somehow novel to just let it go right there into the ocean, that the old lady was so oblivious what with her constant saying of how ok she was as long as she was "on the railing"...and I started to wonder whether i really was there or if It was a dream...so i slowly woke up to find that it had in fact been a wet dream.

we'll see what happens tonight. I'm gonna maybe eat some really fuct up food.
I know reading about other people's dreams can be like listening to radio staic for some people, but everyone should feel free to post dreams here...i mean - if you can bring yourself to do it. I know I've had some that are like "Jesus. Glad I was the only one there for that one..." Taking those to the grave..or a really good therapist... |

I dreamt of running down a steep green hill with my up-and-coming newborn baby. The baby was smiling and had a lizard tongue, licking my face.
My wife told me of another sex dream. Why can't I have these? |

to this girl i know on myspace.com :
had kind of a wierd dream about you.
there were people hanging out at this house - friends of mine...the situation was fairly coupled off - everybody kinda sure who was going to be with whom and you and I were slated to hook up.
somehow i ended up letting you get away and asked another friend of mine "where are they?" "I think the girls went to bed" Another friend of mine (brett) and I - who was slated to hook up with the girl that you were missing with went upstairs to find you...you were in bed asleep with my landlord - who is a pretty, freckle-faced strawberry blonde, early 30s...
I stood there for a second and looked at you sleeping - had a couple open beers with me for some reason...and realized upon closer inspection that they had been ashed in and had cigarette butts floating in the bottoms...which kind of grossed me out because I had been drinking from one of them earlier...a beer called "Red Hook" that we have here..in the dream it has tasted like "Big Red".
Anyway, you woke up (you smiled at me) and Amy (my landlord) woke up and she started to explain that you were scared that you were pregnant and I understood that this was why you had sort of run away from me and decided to crash with Amy - whom you were just good friends with .
Later, i was running aroiund trying to find cigarettes i think and looked outside to see brett and amy and maybe you in the back seat of a black late 90's Chevy Blazer...it was like a room...like they way we treated automobiles in the 80's - like rolling party rooms...so i went out there and tried to get cigarettes and brett and amy had just been getting out to come back inside or whatever...there was a vague sense of a third, dark person there.. think i t was you.
first smoking dream I've had since i quit i think...first dream you've been in...which is kinda disturbing, because if I'm supposed to have the feelings I've been saying and thinking I have for this woman - ...then I should be dreaming about her, shouldn't I?

damn, so many dreams then....poof they're gone. boats are what stand out as far as i can tell it. one dream, a while back, i dreamt of being a lucky (and i mean i felt privledged) spectator at a boat race where the boats sailed across the water about ten feet off the surface, and as in dreams i felt every bit of excitement that you would waiting for something that you had never seen before yet we're somehow ready for. think noah's arc's life boat but built for speed, one sail full blown and a soaked wood hull that dipped from time to time in and out of the water like a dolphin just for the fun of it. this didn't feel like a race, but more like a good time for all that were watching. man i could hear the wind feel the water and the weather was perfect. i could'nt see what i was riding on but it was not flying like this mini arc zooming past me.
the other boat dream was just the other night. stumbleling around a combination of docks and rock like jetties and shanties that i must have lived in or atleast was vacationing in, i stoped and gained my balance to stare straight into the water beneath me when i knew something besides the backs of fast moving fish was aproaching, and then bang, there she rose but never breached, a sail boat under water just as natural as can be. it was beautiful. i sleep til noon whenever i can just to see something like this. |

I have the weirdest dreams, it's like there set in a parallel universe. They wreck my head, I wake up feeling exhausted. I suppose you could say it's a form of mental illness. Perhaps my dreams are telling me seek help, just by being so whacky and vivid! |

Forum-related nightmare last night:
On my way to a Catholics gig, a female forum member who will not be named here gives me a ride in her car and starts taking money out of my wallet. It's anxiety-provoking. I fear we'll be late to the show. Finally, I give her a stack of $3 bills with "In Husker Du We Trust" written on them and she lets go of my wallet. Suddenly I'm in bed with one of my best off-forum girl friends and she has a penis and it fills me with horror and I wake up.
ARGHGH!

had a smoking dream last night...among other i can't remeber
7 months since i quit, so its natural.
a girl I know but used to know better..who also no longer smokes...offered me a cigarette in my dream and i took and was all "yeah - its just one!" and then as I enjoyed it and smoked it faster and harder I began to realiz that this is where it starts and that I had basically started again and all was lost...and despair and all that..and then I woke up and took a big, deep breath. The dream was very real - the feeling, the smell, everything. I had no idea it was a dream.
Couple nights ago i had a dream that I was trying to chase a friend down to get my banjo back before he left town and left it locked in his house. I real life, I did leave the banjo in his house and he, his roomate and some others are all gone to a bluegrass fest in Wisconsin this week. As I chased him, the tour bus that they are actually taking to the festival showed up and seemingly thousands of festivally dressed people start showing up in the streets and they're all dressed like in wierd costumes and dancing and partying and just getting out of control and I keep trying to catch my friend and I finally catch up to him in what i knew to be his house which had too many open doors and was practically deserted and still can't get a straight answer out of him about the banjo and then it ended.
Miss my banjo methinks. |

Last night I dreamed I lived in the capital and the end of the world had become a rumour to be believed, I was sat in a coffee shop with three guys who don't exist on brown leather sofas in front of one of the few windows in the street that hadn't been smashed, the door was broken and no one was serving, it was night and we'd helped ourselves. People raged in the streets, barely clothed and barely sane. There were fires and violence, groups of people throwing everything they could find at anything that would break but leaving the coffee shop alone because the four of us sat there drinking reminded them of what they were once. We watched the few of the law enforcers there were left start to chase and exert authority only to be beaten down by a barrage of projectiles and when on their knees a series of kicks and punches, we saw people aflame and people bloodied and crying and we drank our coffee and watched. The streetlights started to flicker and all the electricity on the street went out, it seemed it was time to leave. We put on our coats and scarves, walked out through the chaos to the car that had an assortment of matter and fluids coating it, silently we buckled up and ran the wipers until we could see well enough to drive and we drove. Drove through the crowds and round the fires to a large building on a corner of a roundabout, the downstairs of the building was once a bank but it had been long since gutted. The car was parked and silently we left, locked the doors fitted the safety lock as if nothing unusual was happening. The street was dead, no sign of life but a few visible ember piles in eyesight. We opened the door to the flat and went up the stairs, taking care to lock it again behind us, we switched on the lights of this odd domicile, the glow was golden yellow and the floors were uneven, and on many levels, the walls were lined with bookshelfs filled with grand looking texts, the furniture was old and dusty and the sofas red and gold. We took off our scarfs and coats, hung them up, fetched fresh coffee from the dark and imposing kitchen, sat down and waited. |

I seem to recall having a dream about the end of the world once, but all that actually happened was that it rained a lot and my family hid out in the garage.

the night i missed the Pixies i had one of my only Frank Black dreams. Frank and i were driving around in a 1960 Porsche 356C.. he was kind of ignoring me at first but then i told him that i wanted to get one of those cars and he became very friendly.
we drove around for a while (there was a chauffeur). i remember we talked about how he was going to restore the interior of his car (it was his car) and about Elliot Smith.. the rest is kind of fuzzy
i need counseling
here's the car, only it was red

So last night there were a few dreams but I had an unsettled nights sleep so they weren't especially sensible dreams. I remember a giant acorn, I mean huge, and then we were slicing it up for food and it tasted great. Then I dreamt that someone gave me a puppy, a little black and white puppy dog and now I'm very pissed off I don't have a puppy dog.

I seem to have too many post apocolyptic dreams. I might be watching too many zombie films. Reading a bit too much Wyndham. Drinking a bit too much coffee.
Although your rain dream made me think of "The Long Rain" from the Illustrated man. Rain can be pretty scary you know.
