You can definately have more than one love of your life...
I think its just you learn, and work out how to handle people better with each person...
But its always new, and different. You change through the years, so you obviously are going to drift from one person to another who ticks more of your boxes at that time. Unless you find that one person who changes in a way which compliments your own changes.....I guess thats what people are really looking for.
Each time it feels just that bit more intense though, doesnt it? Maybe its just me, because my relationships may continue to be the same sort of length, but im growing up. I guess they are actually 'adult' relationships now. lol
I agree with what mike was saying too. Lust is to me quite far from love. Guys who i might really really fancy - id never have a relationship with. They just arent right for me in that way. so cliche, but a fascinating mind does a lot more for my sex drive than a good body.
But as i was saying - about what mike said - its the anticipation of being so close to someone you want to have sex with, buit you dont actually do it. That stays in your mind, you never forget that. Once you do it tho - its gone. No mystery. no sexiness to it after that
