Nice, very nice. Sun City of all places...

Mike, I took it to mean which band/artist you'd like to see that you've not seen before.

Round 8 - Music

1. What song(s) would you like played at your funeral?
Metallica's Orion.

2. What is the first CD/album/cassette you bought?
My sister bought me Carcass' Symphonies Of Sickness(my choice!)when I was around 14. I remember buying Nirvana's Nevermind and Neil Young's Harvest and some other records one Christmas, maybe that was my first album-buying experience. Oh, and I did buy a Bananarama single in a cafe in Jersey(Channel Island, not 'New'!)when I was quite small!

3. What's the lamest concert you've attended?
A one-day musical festival in Galway, that was time-constrained by a local curfew. Beastie Boys headlined (they were pretty good), and were supported by Pulp(very good), Garbage(okay) and Ian Brown(shite). I remember Shirley Manson of Garbage saying they would cut they're set short for The Beasties Boys(fair play). The curfew really ruined it!!

4. Who is the artist you'd most like to see live for the first time?
I'll have to go with Starmekitten and say Tom Waits. He plays so rarely.

5. What was your favorite musical poster in your teenhood
bedroom?

Maybe a Metallica '...And Justice For All' poster. Or a Pixies poster I got with A Doolittle chord book(see below, although it was actually an A4 fold-out shape!).

6. What is the first song you learned to play?
Probably a Metallica song-can't remember!!

7. Who is the artist you've seen in concert the most?
I'm not sure who I've seen more than once-my brother's old punk band probably!!

Their performance left me cold - it was a show I'd been looking forward to for ages but I was left with the impression that they were merely going through the motions. I could have played their cd really loudly in a smokey room and had the same effect.

Round 9: Revenge of the Jediroller Potpourri

1. What is the one dish you cook particularly well?
I cook a decent risotto fruti di mare I guess.

2. What is the one place on earth everybody raves about
but you have no interest in visiting?
Maybe Germany? I don't know, I still wouldn't object to visiting.

3. What are your hobbies, besides Frank's music?
I play guitar and piano, I write music reviews, I cook.

4. Do you maintain friendships for a long time
or do you change friends often?
Reasonably often, I guess. I've kept in contact with a couple of people from school, but I see them very rarely.

5. Divulge right here and now your deepest secret!
I'm not sure I have any deep secrets. My big secret for ages was that I had a crush on Catherine at college, but thats all out now. Not to her, obviously. If you see her, don't mention it.

6. What's your favorite color of your favorite car?
Literally no idea.

7. What are you superstitious about?
Nothing.

8. Have you ever had a nervous tic?
Nope, not really. I fiddle with my fingertips sometimes, but thats just habit rather than a tic.

9. What are you compulsive about, other than Frank's music?
Can you explain the question? Impulsive, obsessive? quoi?

10. What's the worst trouble your compulsive behavior's
gotten you into?
Again...
