I tottaly agree with you, she's very nice. And that's what's so good about it, is that people are better than you expected them to be in real life.

How about the Arcade Fire? I can't wait untill August to see them.

Last night I went to a pub quiz in Oban. After a mediocre first round our three strong team was diminished when one member was called out by the mountain rescue (they found the climber alive).

In the end we came 4th out of 13 teams, with a bottle of wine for our troubles:thup:

Here's a few of the questions:

What weapon was decommissioned by the British army in 1927?

What do the letters K, G and M have in common?

Which island did the Dodo live on?

What is the name of the curved blade the Gurkhas carry?

I watched my 5 year old play soccer with a whole bunch of other 5 year olds. Man that is cute! Highly enjoyable. It'd be fun to be the coach I think.

Well, as you're clearly all too scared to make fools of yourselves, too modest to show up your fellow forumites, or just can't be arsed, the answers are:

1. The lance
2.they can all be used to represent 1000
3. Mauritius
4. the Khukuri.

I allowed my cats to have a major catnip binge and then had to pay the consequences for the rest of the night.

Joking? I wasn't joking that I didn't think the UK had any mountains or least no big mountains with jagged peaks where hikers get lost and suffer altitude sickness.

Was this serious or humourous? I just thought you were having a friendly dig at the relative flatness of the UK. No matter.

Sorry Darwin

Yes it does, sadly there are all too many fatalities on the mountains in Scotland. The mountain rescue is entirely voluntary and often they don't even get their costs covered to risk their lives saving other people.

Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in the UK, and is 1343 metres high.

Altitude sickness may be stretching it a bit though.

Did you know that another indication for Viagra is altitude sickness?

Random thought...sorry....

Last night after work I did laundry, cleaned the kitchen, kitty boxes, took out the garbage, took out the food scraps for compost, fed a baby bird that I found who is probably only a week away from being able to fly, made dinner, and had some quality time with my husband.

I was taking the piss, but the Urine Depository was closed, so I had to return it.

Well, if you had added the word "eat" to the beginning of that first sentence fragment, it would have been acceptable here, I suppose.

Well since this has been revived by spam... last night I went to Marseille. I didn't really do much there, looked at some boats, that's about it.

I arrived in France in Calais, so now it will be good to hear that verse in 'If it Takes All Night' and have real life memories of the two places. I didn't however have on my favourite shirt with the same old dirt, or wash it. Oh well.

That's funny. Even if everyone stops posting on the board, the spambots will keep it alive!

Amongst other things, played some guitar outside, using DADGAD tuning for the first time.

Ciao.
