well, I hope all of those with the flu feel better. my allergies kicked back up this weekend so I feel your pain.
Wow Brian, you had a fun weekend. Thats cool about the record release party ;) Also, I love the Cubs and once saw them play the Mets in Shea stadium.
I saw Garbage. It was a good show. Weird to see a more glizy sho biz show after seeing the more basic "this is all bout the rock and roll types of shows." But it was very entertaining. |

Last night, I worked at the bookstore I work at for 6 hours. I play a lot of Frank Black there, actually my manager has expressed how sick he is of the albums I keep playing.
After work (midnight), I went over to a small theatre called "Juvie Hall." This is a place that me and my friends have had a few comedy shows at. It's a comedy venue. My friend was doing box office, collecting tickets for some little talk show that this guy does there every couple weeks. The guests on that show last night were Samantha Bee and Rob Courdry from The Daily Show.
I went so I can give the 2 of them copies of my comedy short film that I made. I've been trying to get it in the hands of lots of comedy people. It's very very funny. I swear to God.
Anyway, I gave one to Samantha Bee but I chickened out on Rob. Samantha was very very nice, though rushing to get out (it was 2 am).
Then me and my friend matt waited for a subway train for a very long time, and he kept hitting me and I was running away from him. Then we talked about how we never do anything, and we're wasting our lives. Then my train came and I said bye.

I went to a minor league baseball game. Some of the best fun I've had in a long time. Took the family, the kids marched in a parade on the field before the game, sat on the 7th row for $9 bucks a seat, talked to the players before and during the game, ate funnel cakes, soft serve ice cream, hot dogs, all the good stuff, and got to yell some really good smack-talk at the Omaha Royals until my wife and kids told me to shut up...Highly recommend a few trips to the ballpark this summer to everyone.

went to see hitchikers guide to the galaxy, then watched Indiana Jones and the temple of doom, had some veggie chilli and nachos and got sleepy

| I drank two bottles of wine, watched a Korean movie, fell off the sofa and hit my head. Spilled red wine on cream rug, spent 10 minutes trying to clean it and collapsed into bed at 4am knowing I'd be late for work today. |

I jammed in the park mostly bossanova, nearly everyone seemed to be Portuguese or Brasilian yesterday, then went to dinner at a friend I hadnīt seen in ages. Twas lovely.

That's one great thing about guitar. I'd love to sit outside and play music, but sadly piano's not suited exactly. :)

| my friend marla was in town from portland, and we met at rocky sullivan's bar at 28th and lex. they were having a comedy night (hey jordo, I might run into you some time) and the host was really, really, good. the other comedians sucked- and they were all screaming into the microphone, mostly I guess cause they were drunk and inexperienced. so I googled the host- randy credico- come to find out he's a tenacious political activist- he's been trying to repeal the rockefeller drug laws. jack black produced a documentary (which his girlfriend made) on the guy, called 60 spins around the sun. |
