Just another "what did you...?" thread. Post if you did something vaguely interesting.
I went to a leaving party for someone at work, in a pub near where she lives. It turned out to be FairTrade night, and the evening included a lecture/rallying call about FairTrade produce, a display stand with said produce available to buy, a singer/songwriter who sang about Peace Mangoes, and an excellent jazz-funk band who covered Purple Rain. I also won a game of vintage Tekken and drank Diet Coke the whole night, as well as sitting in a throne-like chair and steepling my fingers.
I'm like a lost snail in the night. |

One of my friends convinced me to come watch his band play at an Elk's Lodge. I really do not like ska music, but it was a fun night. All the benefits went towards Tsunami Relief, so I didn't feel guilty about spending ten dollars on five slices of pizza.

Last night my wife went to bed at 9pm, so I drank some wine, listened to Maria McKee/Lone Justice, posted on a couple of forums and watched the telly(Derren Brown & Jonathan Ross). It was a blinder, tbh.

I went to a show. The first two band were good. The last band was good but reminded me so much of Green Day I had to leave.
I went somewhere and got a salad and a glass of wine. With lettuce, basil balsamic vinergarette (this place had the best dressing) and mozzarella tomatoes and chick peas. It was really good people watching.
And then I stayed up and wrote a short story that is really not part of the sci fi series of sort stories I am working on but a side project called Corporate Hacks. I am not saying they are any good, but just fun to write. |

Met my singer for drinks in my favourite bar, listened to lots of Pixies, went to see Idlewild and then went to a 60's garage/pop night.

Celebrated the first night of Passover at my cousin's house. Tonight it will be at my home. Lots of food. Decent company.

Watched with mirth as my hostess friend's ancient nosy neighbor peered inside the window and spied our 3-year-olds jumping naked on a mini-trampoline. My friend waved at her shocked nosy neighbor and I cracked up laughing. Went out for pizza, went dancing.

I did pretty much the same thing as the night before last, except I stayed up later, since work didn't start until noon today.

Last night, I cleaned my garage and found lots of wood, yarn and screws. I decided to build a hommade loom. With that loom I made a sweater with Frank's face on it. I put the sweater on my couch and went upstairs to "drop the Cosby kids off at the pool". Upon my return, I discovered that it's wise to leave a sweater in a place where the cat won't go near it. As the cat was playing with the sweater, a loose piece of yarn caught his claw and when he bolted, the sweater unraveled completely. I then made a new sweater without a design on it because it took less time. |

I watched Indiana Jones: Raiders Of The Lost Ark.
Stone cold classic. I was going to say they don't make 'em like that anymore, but actually they do, they make cheap imitations.

That movie only furthers the stereotype that Liv Tyler is hot.

I like how Dean can reference Family Guy episodes that haven't been aired yet. It's like practice.
Well, at least his post reminded me of "that show only furthers the stereotype that george Lopez is funny." |
