I cleaned, did laundry, took a bath and changed my sheets. Oh, and I flipped my matress which was hard because it's a queen sized and I did it myself. I was nearly killed!

I went to a bar listen to some flamenco and sat up with the band (well, group of gypsies with silk neckties and pencil moustaches) to get a feel for it, spent most of the show watching the guitaristīs right hand.

I watched from our living room window a raccoon and skunk eating our cats food very peacefully together. I was completely fascinated. I had no idea the two would get along, let alone eat side by side.

I put a very good beer (Sudwerk Marzen) out for the slugs, crushed slugs with a spade, worked on editing a paper, and watched a taped episode of Mr. Show.

What the hell, here goes.

Last night I went to my friend's house for dinner
and she cooked a righteous meal, after which we
did the crossword puzzle and then she showed
me her latest sex toy (this is the friend who showed
me her latest sex toy last time I was there for dinner,
last month). I was, like, "Um, that's nice, I'm gonna
wash the dishes now, dinner was delicious."

Yes - there are times when the sharing gets too much. I've had 2 different people pull similar stunts on me before. I'm not easily shocked but both those occassions I can safely say I was.

Glad I'm not alone. I wasn't shocked, more, like
confused as to what that might have to do with me.
Talk about private and none of one's business....

Hahaha, Darwin, you're redeemed. So what's the deal with beer and slugs and crushing them? Is this the American equivalent to seal hunting?

The sex toy thing is weird. But then again, I think the parties are weird too, so... one for a laugh is okay, but these people throwing one every couple months. It's odd.

Also, showing sex toys to anyone other than sexual interests == odd.

This wasn't a sex toy party, just us hanging out, which is
what made it not awkward but confusing and
"what's-your-point?" weird. But she's a great person and
a dear friend.

The very idea of a sex toy party is bizarre to me.
Why would you want to make such a, um, personal
purchase among a bunch of people when you can
easily do so in private? I don't get that.

Last night I went to my French class. We had a slightly manic substitute teacher (something of a BOBFOC if you're familiar with the expression). We continued with passé composé, and the difference between 'depuis' and 'pendant', among other things.

I'm like a lost snail in the night.

I should definitely start reading the forum more attentively. I thought you had written "Last night I watched Monsieur's Ball".

I watched American Idol, as well as "Treehouse of Horror 3" with commentary.
