The Pixies announce Dublin concert The Pixies are returning to Ireland for a major outdoor show with Kings of Leon in August.
As part of the BudRising summer music programme, they will play Lansdowne Road on 23 August.
Scissors Sisters, Franz Ferdinand and Maroon 5 will also play Lansdowne Road on 24 August.
The Chemical Brothers will play Marlay Park on 19 August, with Basement Jaxx, Underworld and Mylo playing Marlay Park on 20 August.
Tickets for all the concerts will go on sale on Friday 6 May, with Lansdowne Road tickets €59.50, Marlay Park tickets €54.50 and a ticket for all four concerts €150.
Fantastic news altogether!

...and that is great news INDEED! I left during the Chillis, but, to honest I missed a chunk of Pixies(which i will deeply regret forever, probably-but it ain't gonna happen again!)and was a tad pissed off. Having said that, they(the Peppers, not the Pixies)sounded a bit lame. They've mellowed into boring, whiney crud.

Yeah i wandered off during chilis too to find food and drink.. i was a bit wasted on beer and spliff last yr and the whole experience was somewhat less than it should have been so this year there will be no pre-pixies drunkness.

Roll on May, won't be happy 'til I've a ticket in my hand, and then won't be happy 'til the day and then 'til I've gotten through all the bloody barriers up to the front, and if that doesn't happen...I won't be happy :(

can you imagine what the DARTs are going to be like that night? yikes.
I think animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.

I couldnt agree more, thats the one abd thing about the phoneix park gig, they knew they had to be on and off in an hour and a half, cant wait, gonna be amzaing!!!
