A friend of mine created this computer program that generates haikus. The words are put together at random, and I about died laughing when I read some of the combinations that the computer came up with. I thought I would share a few:
golden creampuff rose > gentle randy farty dust > quintessential pond > > > because the dark elf > diddles the peaceful pretzel > the spoiled snow exists > > > > intestinal rain > the dark bed eats the warm wind > dark velocity > > > peaceful spongy rain > buddhist bulbous baby bird > intestinal lake > > > because the spoiled filth > moistens the fecund haiku > the spoiled song exists
AND MY FAVORITE:
> intestinal rain > the dark bed eats the warm wind > dark velocity

Frank speaks highly of the haiku form!
Can you post your friend's URL so we can make our own?
Meanwhile, here's a haiku I wrote just now, in honor of your thread:
pixies prance the fan waits empty alone desolate catholics unite
I still believe in the excellent joy of the Catholics |

Great haiku Kathryn! But aren't they suppose to be 5-7-5?
My friend, Brian, doesn't have the program up on a website. He emailed me these. Sorry. But...maybe I can convince him to share his creation. |

i thought so too, mosleyk, and was about to deliver a pwning. but it seems 5-7-5 is just the most common and usual form. i think as long as it has three lines and 17/no more than 17 syllables, it's ok.
Oh let it linger |

Happiness spreads hands. Gorgeous warm pleasure glistens. Breasts slide a lover
google haiku generator fun!
Languid smooth juices probe. Tightly shuddering, soft hair probes. Language feels nude lust.
disturbing!
Fortresses trash snow. Rough tough, ignorant mud lurks. Old, green cities eat
moody, I like it.
I might have a go at this haiku lark tonight

Pardon my ignorance, but what is the point of haikus? Why are they so special?

i got a 27 syllable haiku!
Orgasms suck nights. Boys eat the fevers but a thick heavy, sweet lover heavily begs a prettily sweet lip. Mad language trembles. |

must stop with the random haiku generator.
Agony trembles. A moan sweats and joy glistens. A soft tongue murmurs
The moans beg passion. Pretty fingers beg the lips. The nude secrets throb.
these are mucky!
The arses bounce. Animals fill the whispers. Tongues worship the men. (!)
The embraces drip. Loves spurt for pleasure murmurs. Luscious wonder probes. (!!!)
Life is pain, Highness. Anyone who says differently is selling something. |

Oh, but it WAS, in the original Japanese. It just lost something in translation.

I was just thinking today I wanted a poetry machine to express myself for me!
I altered this one a little:
The green duets clash. Hunted rain finds a profile. Wisdom brings huge cats.

So...if you use one of these programs and generate a Haiku for yourself and call it your own....is it plagiarism? |
