hey guys, going to london tomorrow for a few days with friends and need some ideas for things to do-ie going out at night and what to do in the day...done touristy things like camden and the Tate modern...anyone got any ideas???

You could try checking out the thread that floop started on a similar theme for some ideas...
Going out, I guess try Old Street, Islington, Brick Lane. Things to do, Camden's cool, Portobello Road, London Eye, Museums and galleries.
That's probably no help.

cool, thanks, was looking for specific clubs if anyone knows any? if anyones free sat your welcome to join us...unless youd have to break out of jail or somehting first heh...we just need somewhere to go!

Camden Underworld is not bad for pub and club. The pubs on Portobello road are all pretty cool. FROG night at Meanfiddler on a Saturday night is also pretty good for a club. Check out www.londonnet.com for more ideas. I am only giving you indie clubs here 'cos that's where my friends and I go when we are in London. Ihave also been to Carliing Academy Islington on a Friday and that was OK, though a little quiet if I rememeber rightly.
It all depends on what you are after.

cool, both the camden and the mean fiddler nights look good, so we'll definetly do one of em, cheers....im quite exited heh, all i get normally is the leicester clubs where the hi-light of the night is a free lolipop heh, thanks again, muchly appreciated, it was either someone suggest a place, or we descreetly follow people and hope they go somewhere fun....and that leads to all sorts of problems

Hmm, if you'd come last week, you could have made it to the Xfm night at the Islington Academy. That's the only club I ever really go to, just because it seems like the default night out for someone's birthday at work! The Garage on Highbury Corner is pretty good though, you should have fun there. I'm not sure if Silver Rocket is on Friday or Saturday, but that looks like some good music.
Anywhere in Camden is usually safe for a laugh though, and the late opening bars in Shoreditch (say Old Street or Hoxton Square) are pretty fun. Legion, possibly?
