No-one started this? Right then.
We came up with some highly elaborate ones that would take too long to explain fully here, but involved creating fake hotmail accounts and the word 'dyslexia'.
Apart from that, the odd phone call impersonating a Nigerian applicant. The only one perpetrated against me was someone locking my (computer) mouse in my desk drawer. My old desk, the muppets...

today i participated in a GREAT joke.
so my friend kathleen works with mentally handicapped/autistic patients in a day house type facility. one of the ladies there, who is clearly unstable, hates her and keeps saying that she is going to call the police, say kathleen is harrassing her, and get her arrested.
so today, when kathleen was being picked up in the city by ms. broken face and her friends, we had a friend of ours call (from a restricted cell #) as a police officer, saying that she had to come in to the station for questioning, as she has been accused of harrassment. we all worked for over an hour to come up with what story to tell/how to deliver it/etc. well, this went on for a good 15 minutes, while my friend steve was using all sorts of great fake cop language ("don't SASS me" "that's a bunch of malarky" "i don't want to hear your sob story missy"). she totally fell for it. it was great

wasn't sure they'd see the funny side

I did the old switcheroo, toothpaste in the oreos. No one at my lunch table fell for it. Fortunately, in retrospect, neither did my history teacher.
Are you honest when no one's looking? Can you summon honey from a telephone? They sat there with their hooks in the water and their mustaches caked with airplane glue. |

I've started to get serious about my pranks. Playing them on my mother is the best since she never sees it coming. Last year i forged a letter pretending to be a deranged neighbour and saying i'd shoot our dogs.
This year i'm going to take her car while she's in bed and park it in a nearby wood, so that when she gets up the next morning she'll think it was robbed.
