Mr. BDH ... send me your mailing address privately and I'll get it out to you pronto. Since the advent of the iPod and iTunes, I've been desperately seeking ways to rid my house of the clutter that is CDs.

50 odd bats. Yowzers. We have one that circles the garden at night, but 50. We couldn't move them on here, is that the Law in Eire, too? |

Well, when we first found out we had bats we thought there was around 5 of them. But a rough re-count the other night made it 65. They found the tiniest hole at one of the slates on the roof and squeezed in there. There's just an empty, inaccessible attic-like space over the garage and now they live there. Not all 65+ fly around the garden at night, only about 4 or 5 do that. I presume the rest wander around the countryside. We got a wildlife guy to come and let us know what to do. He said to just leave them be. That they'll leave before winter. But, they'll be back again next summer. There seems to be some issue about them being endangered. There must be a law here too. To be honest, i don't mind them being there. They don't get in the way or anything.
There is the odd “minor” problem. Two months ago one flew through the open sliding door into the living room and I had to try and get him out again. A few years back, when they first came, one flew down the chimney and when I got up in the morning, he was unconscious in the sink after slamming into the kitchen window. So I left him on the wall till he came round.

I thought I say the shadow of a bat on the road coming home late the other night. You get little bats around the trees by the beach near where I live.

Every night, just as it's getting dark, you can hear them all chattering, then they speed out one by one. They're fast little fellars.

Back when I wrote that I hadn't eaten lunch yet. I had only eaten a waffle, which I guess counts as breakfast.
