Yeah, when I think manly man, i'm thinking stupidity, chauvanism, bigotry, all that.
I'm thinking of the comboys that have pretty much wrecked alot of western society...but hey - I'll be the first to admit that a giggling college girl in a tiny 2-piece bikini is hard to resist, so i guess it goes both ways.
You girls keep doing what you can to support the world's battered womens shelters and we'll keep supporting the stereotype that tiny little girls with big tits are attractive.
So, needless to say, if you were waiting around with five bucks in your hand waiting to buy my upcoming brochure Understanding Poop, you can put that five bucks away, 'cause it ain't happenin.

I thought it was supposed to be "cowboys," and "comboys" was a typo. Am I wrong?

what's so wrong with stereotypes? after years of studies i ended up with these observations:
1) women hate "manly men" that are ineterested in sports and cars
2) women hate "emo-men" that spend more time than them on cosmetics and occupy the bathroom for more than 5 minutes
3)women hate everyone that behaves like their ex at least until they a)get over it b) you act exactly like him c) return to him
ergo:women don't know what they want and it's better being yourself and hope that you will find someone that accepts you for what you are than reading cosmopolitan or whatever lifestyle mag that makes you buy ridiculous stuff just to fit in a stupid category invented by the sex and the city authors.

Sex and the City's international success saddens and angers me. That show was trash. Pure garbage. I hate those four characters.

what gives me the nerves is that so many women seem to think that they are emancipated if they spend 250€ in italian shoes (i should start a thread on how non italians are so stupid to spend this amount of money on a pair of shoes made right around the corner here in the exact same way they make them in china or in australia) and snob all men that dare to say that they like football or beer. it's the male neanderthal stereotype put in a female form. and you would be surprised how many of them are now typing their anger in some forum because they can't find someone to invite them out.

lol. no fortunately not, but i hate "the women are so sensitive and you are a damn bear because you hate almodovar's "la mala educacion" kind of attitude. you may be surprised but normality (meant as everybody is free to like or dislike stuff at will regardless of sex) is slowly but inevitably disappearing. and i would love to meet a woman that really but really likes a man that uses more cosmetics than her.

Wow! That shocks me. Can't they see these characters for the vapid, spineless trendoid losers that they are? I mean, I know plenty of women like that but no one who would ever come out and admit to aspiring to such inane pop-culture crap.

hah. here's the catch. it's not about inane pop-culture crap anymore. it's about how inane pop-culture crap became the standard. i mean where did it all go wrong and 2 people that meet for the first time start categorising each other as emo, metro sexual, neanderthal, clubber, squatter, freak no global and whatever other stupidity? the old fashioned let's hang out and see is dead and you get people full of complexes including those who don't even care about that stuff but have to cope in order to feel accepted.

K - It seems that because these women are portrayed as being pretty in vogue and have vastly more exciting lives than they do they will leap on the smallest facet of the displayed character and use it as a validation "I'm like Carrie Bradshaw because I love shoes and Carrie Bradshaw is so amazingly empowered" "I'm like Bridget Jones because sometimes I sit around in my PJ's drinking stoli and listening to crap music - and thats cool because women are empowered" It's bollocks, it's like justification for a lack of personality and a complete lack of what they see as important i.e. the ideal man. I have heard it so often and mostly from the most vapidly shallow types you could ever meet. Mun Chien making a good point there, I know women who flaunt shoes at me that have cost them hundreds of pounds (and look to my eye like they cost pence) and expect me to cluck and coo, one girl once stopped talking to me because I told her I personally didn't like white trainers (she had just spent £150 on a pair of white trainers and I didn't like them) it was like I'd told a normal person they were a personality vaccuum.
Mun Chien - the issue about men and cosmetics is a vanity issue for me, I have dated a guy who wore eyeliner and nailvarnish because he liked them and that was cool. I have dated a guy who used to do facepacks on his nose because he thought his skin was bad there, that was fine also. What isn't attractive imo in men as well as women is the three hours in the bathroom obsessive behaviour. There's taking care of yourself and then there is seriously vain.
I guess personally I don't think that expensive things and all the slap in the world is going to make up for a personality defecit.
actually I ws making another point and I done gone forgot it.

I always think it funny when someone refers to themselves as empowered. True power comes from within and can no more be given than taken away.

Um, how about god, or the nature of the universe... something like that... is a power that definitely does not come directly from within but you are the channel or conduit of the power... Unless you are so powerful that you control everything...

Bingo! :)
J/k, good point. Unless you believe that the universe is only defined by our own minds and therefore we are the ultimate power as well as the only one. Maybe this forum is a construct that makes up for my inability to imagine real people as friends and neither it nor any of you exist except in my mind...
Except there's no way I would've dreamed up some of this new artwork, so that pretty much invalidates that theory.
