delicious thai food. perfect meal. Light, but immensely satisfying. The basil chicken's sauce is flavorful, especially over the steamed rice. The jalapenos give it the perfect amount of heat. I really must go to thailand.

Sticky sticky finger-licking pork short ribs accompanied by icy cold beer, followed by a fat spliff

That sounds delicious Surfer, especially the contrast between the ribs and the icy cold beer. My employer prohibits me from enjoying that dessert, unfortunately.

Ohhh delicious sushi when I really wanted italian food instead. But the sushi was delicious, especially after the 45 minute wait drinking sake. The grilled yakitori items were stellar, especially the grilled oyster, and the grilled, marinated eggplant with dried bonito shavings that curled around on the hot vegetable as if they were alive. And the uni. The uni is always best to me.

My mistake, I had finsihed the Polish black bread. This was in fact Ukranian rye bread.

I didn't really eat last night, which is most odd. As twenty-four hour rules apply, for lunch I had an all day breakfast from the Titanic cafe (with black pudding! yes!), then I had some chips at about 1am.

I had a pastrami sandwich from Atlanta Bread Company. It was quite good, although I think I would have preferred it if it had been hot instead of cold.

Last night I had a very tasty mexican shrimp cocktail with hunks of avocado and perfectly briny shrimp in a cocktail sauce spiced with jalapeno and cilantro and salt and pepper. Served in a giant beer goblet. It was the best I've had in a long time. Finished it with a caldo de camaron. Six large shrimp in a well constructed fish stock that must have simmered for a long time. Had pieces of onion and tomato, tiny bits of jalapeno and celery. I dropped bits of bread into the stock which swelled up with the liquid into tiny bites of heaven. I feel better already just thinking about that.
