I just had lunch. A ham and cheese sandwich, two bananas, two cups of yogurt, baby carrots, and grape juice. Fairly typical for me, really.

I was all out of luck, like a duck that died. I was all out of juice, like a moose denied.

Coffee is an interesting choice.

Last night I had mac and cheese (not the box kind) with the green beans from our garden.

that was for lunch (which was actually breakfast since i woke up at lunchtime on Sunday) ..

obviously burritos aren't really a breakfast food.. but there are Mexican restaurants around here that serve breakfast, and give you chips and fresh salsa with your coffee.. it's amazingly good, but you would never think of it

A pretty poor, frozen, ham and mushroom pizza.

At lunch I had some reheated bobotie, which was considerably better.

How's that for a slice of fried gold?

I ate grilled chicken (with the Nando's Lime & Coriander sauce, taking a break from the peri-peri a bit), some bean casserole dealio, rice and a bread roll. Then a banana.

Well I made a shepherd's pie but the real deal was the vinaigrette that I made for the salad;

Ingredients
Honey Mustard Dressing:
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup raw honey
1/2 cup Dijon-style mustard
3 cloves garlic, finely diced
1 cup sunflower seed oil
3 tablespoons fresh parsley, minced
1-1/2 tablespoons fresh dill weed, minced
1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, finely chopped
Salt and pepper to taste

Its in the slowcooker with extra cheese so its all warm and gooey.
At the rate I'm going there won't be any left soon.

Frozen pizza, cheese feast. Out of deference to tradition: 6/10 maybe? Not many good frozen pizzas coming through chez Simone recently, but then I'm a tough grader. Nice mix of cheeses, but needed some extra toppings which I just didn't have. Nice soft base though, and kept well til cold. May upgrade the range to 7/10 depending on the quality of toppings available.

Chicken and tomato risotto. I really have to start leaving meat out to defrost, microwaving it takes away some of the flavour, and definitely doesn't improve the texture.

Chicken sashimi. Yeah, pretty tasty, but it's best if you don't focus on it until you have to: pay more attention to the chicken toppings (marsala, mushroom, and the interesting melted cheese) instead of the raw chicken part until absolutely necessary. Make sure you have eaten at least half of it, THEN decide to focus on the raw chicken delicacy aspect. Many people, their first go at it, may push the plate away in disgust, so if this happens to you, don't fret too much. At least you tried it which is the important part.
At least I got a free chocolate / brownine / tiramisu-like dessert to wipe that shit-eating grin off my face.

Last night was jerk chicken, rice and peas, and some yellow pepper and beans in tomatoes to bulk up the vegetable count.
Oh, custard apple for dessert.
