Last night I had seafood gumbo and shrimp creole. I didn't finish the gumbo. It's usually delicious at this restaurant but tasted metallic last night?? Not good. The creole made up for it though.

Ooh what a combination *drools*

Grilled salmon, watercress & rocket salad

followed by tiramisu - I think the husband is turning into a feeder. Got home last night to find what can only be described as a catering size tiramisu in the fridge - we aren't expecting guests. Monday night he tried to feed me christmas pudding and custard at 10 at night?!?!

Tiramisu = dessert of the gods!

Watermelon and halloumi = classic summertime fare in Cyprus.

About to have breakfast, sadly neither tiramisu nor watermelon and halloumi.

Do you like the Morningstar Farms corn soy dogs? I adore those but haven't had one since learning that they are made with genetically modified Frankencrap.

Not all genetic modification is necessarily bad, y'know.

I don't know what they specifically do to Morningstar Farms hot dogs, but I think a lot of the hoopla over "Frankenfoods" is overdone.

I ate nothing because I was so ill (because I ate nothing). I had been drinking in the sun during the day with no food inside me. Big mistake. It was my gran's 80th birthday meal last night and I had to leave the restaurant early because I was so sick. It's the best Italian in Manchester too and I was so looking forward to it. I feel a lot better today though.

It is a shame Kitty, but truth be told, it was my own fault.

I made myself some lovely bacon and cheese muffins this morning to make up for it. I am going to my gran's for tea soon too.

How do you combine these two? As a salad with some kind of dressing? Do you fry the cheese?

I ask, because I dicovered yesterday, that my supermarket has halloumi and would love to experiment with it. Used it fried on a couscous-salad I made myself for lunch yesterday.

Green thai curry for dinner (no halloumi).
