Yesterday no dinner for me, I forgot about food, my man arrived so happy and with so many things to talk about their trip! I only noticed later that I didn't had dinner.
But you know what, my husband missed my delicious meals!

Pasta salad, that is my recipe, with sweet corn, sea weeds, tomato, tuna, apple and a little of small cucumber pickles. All with my special olive oil, lemmon and black pepper sauce. And bean soup.

What is/are bigos?
I had pan-fried salmon (just some lemon juice and S&P for seasoning), with rice, peas and some red onion fried in a lime and coriander sauce.

Two hot dogs, a cheeseburger, three deviled eggs, and Kool-Aid to drink
I was all out of luck, like a duck that died. I was all out of juice, like a moose denied. |

Strawberries don't come in pints, crazy woman.
I had bolognese sauce and pasta, and the odd bit of garlic bread and grilled aubergine/goat's cheese combo. Plus cheesecake.

In America you can buy them by the pint, Simon, or, better yet, pick a pint yourself, right at the field, nice organic ones with dirt still on them...

But pint is a liquid measure. Strawberries aren't liquid, at least at the stage you pick them. Explain yourself.

When Measuring Strawberries
1 1/2 pounds = 2 pints or 1 quart 1 small basket = 1 pint 1 pint = 3 1/4 cups whole berries 1 pint = 2 1/4 cups sliced berries 1 pint - 1 2/3 cup pureed berries 1 cup = about 4 ounces

Thank you, mosleyk, my fellow American. I guess in England a pint's just a pint of beer or ale or whatever they call it.

A pint is a pint of any liquid. Strawberries come in nice, logical weight measurements. Pounds and ounces, for example, or kilos and grams.
