Chicken salad with balsamic vinagrette.

I am now sucking a rhubarb and custard lollipop.

Cheers for the tips with the lamb chops Dean, lemon and oregano sounds pretty good. Lamb is probably the bestest meat in the world. Roast lamb a la my mum is just awesome.

Lamb is definitely themost tasty meat, though I just about prefer chicken for it's shear versitility and lack of fat.

Tonight I am gonna be having bacon sandwiches 'cos I cannae be arsed making anything else tonight. Water to drink again.

This thread inspired me to actually cook for myself for once - tonight's meal was a lovely piece of fillet cooked to perfection (blue) with a green salad.

steak - done in a wash of red wine, then balsamic vinegar, then soy.

Sublime, if I say so myself.

Reheated paella and bread and butter. Minimal veg content, unfortunately. Hence the succeeding banana and fat-free yoghurt.

Hmmmmm, I think some of you lie like the sidewalk...;)

Oh and I'm making baked spaghetti with leftover sauce and the leftover chicken from yesterday.

tofu fillets, marinated in a mix of Bragg's Liquid Aminos, brown rice syrup, sorghum syrup, minced onion, garlic, ground mustard, cayenne pepper, and some other stuff i can't remember; fresh corn on the cobb; fresh, steamed asparagus, broccoli, and carrots; and couscous; along, of course, with a couple slices of toasted, homemade bread. Needless to say, it was extremely good.

What's a bananana?
Yesterday evening I had fish fillets cooked with cream, tomato, courgette, lemon and tarragon, along with semolina. For dessert I had tarte tatin.

Pink lady apple, 3 cups of coffee, 3 pink foam prawns (vile but addictive English sweet), sprouted buckwheat and rye salad.

That's it now, all done. You have to use it up right, its chicken and seafood, it could go a bit nasty after too long. Question: the whole concept of freezing seafood: OK? If so, why do I have reservations?

Superbio.
Incidentally, whats the deal with the monumental quantities of oil in Spanish food? My throat always feels coated in the stuff after eating...

Dean would be proud.

I'm eating hummus. I make kickass hummus.
My son just finished his social unit of ancient Greece and is having a little party in the afternoon at school where all parents had to make something greek to eat. So I made sure to put a bowl away for myself. I always use twice as much garlic and cumin than recommended, I think that's the key. I freaking love cumin.

That's very interesting- I love hummus, but I seem unable to make decent one, at home. Would you mind sharing your recipe? No worries if you can't be bothered; I was just wondering, 'cos I always seem to get the quantities wrong. Cheers.

Hmmm I spose I'm not greek so I can share;

3-4 cloves of garlic,
1 can (540ml???) of chickpeas (
1/3 cup of tahini,
1/4 cup of lemon juice,
2 tablespoons of oil,
2-3 teaspoons of cumin.

Throw all this stuff in the blender and add enough water until you get the consistency you want.

It shouldn't be oil, but olive oil. And I never use the quantities of fat that a recipe has, they always exagerate.
