So how about the negative side of things? The worst album cover?
Here's my candidate:
Maybe not the worst ever, but it definitely sucks. They didn't even bother to name it, bah. I like the music though.

Thats Smell the Glove right? by Spinal Tap or is there a Metallica album thats just all black? This is the worst one I can find in my record collection. I mentioned SST's Husker Du covers before in a similar thread, their awful, great albums though.

Well, I don't have the strong feelings of dislike for Wilco (I'm mostly indifferent toward them, although I do like the few songs of theirs I've heard pretty well, and I like the album they did with the Minus 5), and I don't think that album cover is all that good. Hardly the worst either, though.

| "Can I borrow a feelin'?" has to be one of the funniest tiles. The drums one and the Christian Crusaders are hilarious-many of these garish, kitsch covers are a total influence on late eightes/early nineties tongue-in-cheek alternative band covers. Oh, by the way, GOTG, COR's cover is probably meant to look a bit cheapo, I think that was Frank's vibe for that...! |
