Do you want another COR or FB self-titled?
Where is Vaughan Oliver when you need him?

I have to say that I liked 'Get Directly Down' the most. Not quite James Brown.
Anyway, here are some more.

Or maybe it's just that I don't like Radiohead that much, or at least HTTT.

It seems the early sixties Beatles found a time machine/got caught in a time warp and ended up lookin down on there later selves(Or is that the other way round?)! And MJ can probably afford a time machine(although maybe not after this trial!) That balcony is pretty high...careful with that infant, Michael! |

Let's hear it for page 2 of this topic! Those are some of the funniest, most ridiculous taking-the-piss-'is-this-a-joke?'-album covers ever. Criminey! |

Some strange picks here, I personally like those VU, Iggy Pop, Husker Du and Beatles album covers a lot!
On the other hand, about half of the covers mentioned on the "best cd covers" thread are actually some of the ugliest ones I have ever seen. Oh well.

I do like those bands, but also those covers: I mean, the white album, that's just brilliant, and that in a time when there probably wasn't even released an album that didn't have the band or the singer on the cover (ok, Warhol's banana was earlier). And that VU-album with the sofa, how can you not like that picture? Perfectly in line with the music. Their Loaded cover is much uglier.
I also like these albums for instance, but what a hideous cover:

I bet this is perfectly in line with their music, too:
geertos, don't get me wrong - the VU grey album: beautiful music, I love it, just love it! Not much of a cover though. I agree the Loaded cover isn't much better either. Apparently some guy who never before even heard about the Velvets let alone their music designed it, so there you have it. |

Well you forgot a few covers from OUR MAN... F and the Catholic's... no comment, and Pistolero, and Dog in the sand...
By the way, I find the cover of The Velvet Underground very relaxing. The music inside sings for itself.

Oh wow! That Manowar anthology! I got that when I was working over in Holland, it's the most rockin' collection of pure metal EVER!(Hello Cleveland!) Nice one...although it shold be in the BEST cover topic! ;)
Pistelero and Devil's Workshop are the only really dodgy FB COVERS, in my opinion. |

Well, it's a good thing SOMEONE was fighting Mr. Tooth Decay! He's been a menace to society for so many years.
I wonder if anyone else has since taken up the fight. George Foreman, perhaps?

I never did like the cover of "Cult of Ray". I like the cover of Pistolero a lot though.
Ok, what is the deal with this? Maybe it's before my time or something, but on the Kids in the Hall these do this skit and it's like "20 Helens agree..." then they agree on something. It's also in like the same pose as the album cover. Their all standing together and everything?
Someone please explain this to me. |

I don't know Kids in the Hall.
I can only tell you that cover is from a mid-90's album of Julian Cope, obviously titled "20 mothers". It shows 20 actual mothers, who Cope gathered in his neighbourhood. The second one from right, first row (the one with the big erm... hair), is actually his own wife. On the back cover, Julian Cope poses with his two kids. |
