Those lyrics are from his first album, The Slim Shady LP, released back in 1999.
I've been listening to The Eminem Show (from 2002) non-stop in my car the last few days. It's quite excellent, with the exception of a few songs that lean towards a more mainstream style and content. I think it may be his best production-wise and as far as lyrics go, it's not so much him pushing the envelope as much as it is analyzing his place in the media, which is interesting. There's a bit of politics involved, questioning the Bush administration and slamming Lynne Cheney. I haven't heard the new one, Encore. Don't know if I want to. I feel The Eminem Show should have been his last album, followed by the excellent 8 Mile film as the grand finale, and then that's it, don't carry it on for longer than it can go, which is what will probably happen.
