ages ago Carolyn, for helping with the graphics doodad and I assume for helping with the db too, I'm a helpful sort me.
[RANT]I specifically asked for a genetics summer project with molecular techniques because I love it and it's easy and I love it. Also because that meant I would avoid the two most notoriously evil lecturers in the department as supervisors. Today I find out that not only did I get one of the evil lecturers, I got both of them as co supervisors, not only did I not get a molecular/genetics project I got a damned mammalian cell line immunology blah blah blah, which I know fuck all about and really hate subculturing mammalian cells, asteosarcoma cells uuurgh, then I have to do a ton of assays (biochemistry! tch!) nitrite assays for nitric oxide using a reagant I have to make myself which has poisons in so I have to fill in a ton of poisons requisition forms, bloody protein assays as well, and cannabis but not good cannabis oh no non psychoactive man made liquid pish. I found this out today and the lab starts monday so my weekend away is cancelled becaus I have to learn immunology fast and write a bollocksing two month project plan and fill in all these bleedin' COSHH forms. The next two months are going to be well hard.[/RANT]
