Haha! I thought I got locked out for apparantly showing too much Tiven respect.

Yes. Yes I am.
But what do you prefer, electric or acoustic? |

Actually, at the moment I'm trying to teach myself to play acoustic properly, fingerstyle and all, so I'm preferring that. Electric's too much hassle - I have so much grief even making a noise, all my connections are cruddy.

Good stuff. I've a dvd of Elliott Smith and some of the stuff he plays is amazing. Not a plectrum in sight, just his acoustic and finger plucking brilliance.
Have fun!
(oh. how long have you been playing?) |

Ooh, blimey, I guess about 9 years? I thought I'd try and train myself up on acoustic recently, and bought a Nick Drake tab book.
The pain!
I wish I had some better gear for my electric though, I'd like to get that up to speed again, I used to be fairly decent.
That said, more than anything I wish I had a piano again.

Frank Black posted and I didn't knew, and now reading it, I don't feel sorry for it. I'm really changed, and that feels good.

Do you have a degree in part-time activities?
My wife is away for the night, and I'm hoping that the kids sleep through the night (ha!). In the spirit of positive thinking, I'm drinking wine.

I received 2 tubes of ants for my son's ant farm yesterday in the mail. Who knew that the things were such a pain in the ass to set up. Anyway, I broke the base of the clear plastic dome, which I am thinking may let ants out in some way to roam all over my house. He'll have a blast with it once he's back here on Saturday, assuming that they don't overrun him as he sleeps thanks to me and my damn construction skills.
Also on my mind-all the new work clothes which I bought which actually look damn good if I don't say so myself.
I tend to think of human beings as huge rubbery test tubes, too, with chemical reactions seething inside |

Yes indeed, what a lovely pic!
This year's Irish Film Institute's Horrorthon line-up has been announced! Cannibal Holocaust director Ruggero Deodato will be in attendance (I watched that again recently when a friend got it on DVD, it's one of the most gruesome films ever!!). Went to it a few years ago, and it was a blast!

I've had that movie on DVD for 2 years but never got the time/motivation to watch it. Is it worth seeing?

No. It sucks. At least that's what I thought when I saw it many moons ago. It's not even remotely believable, which kinds of ruins the whole actual-footage-found-in-the-forest concept. It's gruesome all right, but not because it's well done (it really isn't) - it's rather revolting in its intentions - morally disgusting, if you prefer -, and poorly executed.
