Bearded Thread, I thought for sure this was going to be about Floop's mom.
I just shaved my beard off the other day when kathryn said I would get laid, she was wrong. PLus, after seeing Erebus and Floop's mom, I figured it hopeless that I'd ever win a contest.

I had a beard at certain times in college, but I haven't had one in years. I don't shave every day, though, so sometimes my face is a bit scruffy-looking.

I actually look pretty similar to the guy in Carolynanna's first post, though I often contemplate shaving it all off. |

If they emerge from your vagina, sure?
=) haha (kidding, did I say that?)
You can have this bastard, he's a real bastard: he thrives on attention, negative and positive. If you come over to my house and sit on the couch, he's on your lap in 30 seconds, he swipes at your face begging for petting and attention... neary as bad as a baby with the sharp-ass, unrelenting claws and all, except he sleeps a lot more than a baby...

Sounds all too familiar. Both my two are like that - I get miaowed at, smacked and bitten till I give the attention they want. I cannot even shower without having a cat sitting at the door waiting for me.

I don't know how men go on with them, they get so itchy. As annoying as it is to have to shave every day or so, I'd rather do that than have to put up with the constant itch, especially when playing sports and sweating a lot. That's probably why you don't see many sportsmen with beards. |

I become bearded for several reasons.
Truthfully, the number one reason is that I simply do not care and am too lazy to shave. If there was a woman in my life that were allowing me to touch her face with mine and she objected to the yard, I'd mow it...but there ain't.
Secondarily, I like women who like beards because that means if i get with her, then i can be lazy and don't have to shave.
Tertiarily, i can grow a pretty damned good one and feel an obligation to do so on occaision if only to mock the facial-folicularly challenged. Haha! Sorry about your hormonal imbalance you hairless bastards!
*ahem*
Finally..and quaternarliy...ummmm...i don't have a fourth reason, I just wanted to say quaternarily. I probly spelt it wrong but it feels good anyway. |

No sportsmen with beards? Did you erase the 70's from your consciousness?
It doesn't itch at all, Mike, you excuse-making, follically-challenged slaphead. Well, mine doesn't at any rate. My favourite use for a beard so far: when your hand gets bored, it has something to do. Stroking your beard is just the best.
Second favourite: women like to stroke it. This is a very good thing.
I'm with KSR really. I like my fuzz kinda short, so I'll trim it to a grade one maybe once a week. This takes half the time a swift shave would do, so you're using approximately 1/14th of the time per week. If you do it on Monday or so, then by Friday/Saturday/going out night, you've got a fair-to-reasonable covering without looking like you've just shaved. It's an art man.

Hahaha, says you! Time to face up to facts Simon. You're bald!
And I did say not many sportsmen, not ex-sportsmen. Besides they didn't run back then, they just strolled around. |

Heheh, you're not wrong. I'm thinking combover-esque hair extensions are the way to go for me.
You're right with the sportsmen I guess. The only one I can think of who pulled his weight was the Baumer.

One stroke, that's all it'd take, I promise.
Further use: insulation. I shaved a while back and it was really chilly.
Further bonus: women like Surfer Rosa like the rugged, grizzly look. I like women like Surfer Rosa.
