EDIT - While this was originally a lovely love-in thread, it's turned into more of a discussion about the future of the forum. See bottom of Page 1/Page 2 for beginning. Also, sorry for hijacking this thread, but I think that it's a great place for it to go. :) Thanks for the positive comments on the forum, too.
I know I'm just stating the obvious here, but anyway. I just want to say that this forum is one amazing and unique phenomenon. Considering the internet is almost as large as the world itself, it's amazing how this place is the one spot that everybody, I mean really everybody who is in some way connected to Frank Black comes to. It's the ultimate place for any Frank Black fan, casual or "uber" (Was FB the first who used this word "uberfan"? It gets used so often it's almost like a synonym for "Frank Black fan"), reporters who write FB related articles quote it all the time, we have producers and publishers reading it, and not to mention The Man himself (this aspect I particularly like because we are after all having discussions about a certain person and I feel more comfortable knowing that this person might be listening in to what we're saying – makes it a more honest, straight-forward situation IMO) and I find it amazing how much influence we fans have on the way events unfold. There is something special about this place, but I suppose you all know this already. |

I love it when these threads come along, with people professing their love of this forum or the people within it, or both.
I was gonna start one a few weeks ago, but I think it was gonna be a bit too full of love and I was worried I was gonna get laughed at.
Great to see the love shared.

yeah, i know you're the people person, but it sure is hard tracking these two down. I wouldn't dare hassle them away from this forum, so am hoping they'll see one of the 'suggestion' posts pretty soon. but i do realise you are busy people, so i wait. i'm not exactly going anywhere fast.

Heh heh, sorry guys. How about the following for conversation:
We're looking at some fairly serious updating to the site itself. This includes an all new files section that will finally replace our FTP with a slick web-based interface and some other cool stuff. What would YOU like to see on the site? On the forum? Moreover, is anyone interested in assisting or taking over for our various veterans who don't have the time to help keep up to date. What particularly are you interested in doing/helping with?
Consider this an open call for volunteers. If you'd prefer to email me re: volunteering, by all means do so. We're going to get this site back hopping.
