i think i've decided to pick the nice, round number of 20 for my mix. this way i can do my "side a" and "side b" with 10 tracks each. thats the thing i miss most about mix tapes, the ability to break up the mood

By the way, who's disc had an Oliver Messiaen track on it last time? I have finally gotten it to play and it's scaring the shit out of me. Maybe that's why my hi-fi never wanted to play it, 'cos it was such ghostly music.

My god, I hope he includes some songs this time. The Heroes mix is the closest to one so far, and I'm 6 tracks in. This is seriosuly hard going. I am guessing he wanted it that way though.

i was thinking of that too, but then its 21 tracks, and that fucks up the symmetry of an even numbered tracklisting. i'm so anal sometimes

I've got my first draft done - I've tried to add a couple of lighter tracks but they just sounded crap and didn't fit in. I'm going to try do another light mix and see which one I like the most.

and burning is coming along? I have made my decisions and the burning
starts tomorrow tonight, big hockey game tonight, can't be fooling around
at home when there's hockey!

mine is...well, i'd say i'm stuck at the moment. its a mix that is diverse and all that, but there is something missing...so i'm going back to the drawing board. all i have for sure is my closing song, which i already put on a mix for kiki, so i'm going to give her a special bonus track to compensate.

i finished mine i just have to listen to make sure it sounds ok, i was a little upset last time because the end of Moon Over Marin has that psychiatrist talk and i copied it from a CD with PSD and IGWT. if i had listened i would have known to book-end the whole comp. with gov't flu and moon.
