I was sitting in my garden writing and listening to Captain Beefheart and a van pulled up outside. I continued writing and the stereo snapped off, and I looked up to see the van of the electicity board speeding off after tampering with the box outside the gate. I went to the sideboard where I´d been dutifully collecting these white and orange envelopes addressed to the previous tenant which contained bills for six months electricity, about 200 euros. I spent the next two weeks reading a lot of Kafka and zerology by candlelight, the oldworld charms of which rubbed off after about twenty minutes.

one year ago i was still in college and drinking too much and sleeping too little and all that. now i've cut back the drinking and starting sleeping more and i have since graduated.

Funny I was drinking more and sleeping more in college (philosophy degree, 5 hours a week in final year). Now I´m drinking less and sleeping less.

saying that i've been drinking less than a year ago made me really think about my drinking. i am not an angry, crying, or mischevious drunk - i am a happy drunk and a very nice one i've been told. however, when i was in college i'd usually have one night a week when i got HAMMERED and would stumble home, call the lady long distance and sleep off the hangover. now that number has come down a lot, and i really can't remember the last time i was really drunk. clearly i was not an alcoholic by any means, nor was i really out of control - it is just odd to think of how much i've cut down without really noticing. i guess i just hung out with people who drank more in college. either way, its nice to not have so much of my paycheck going to the drink, and less empty calories. man i sound old

Hey Ramona. It has been ages. How goes the photography? Still taking beautiful art?
Kind of strange. I wrote the reply above in a humourous jest. After reading your reply, I realized that in fact I had met a girl a year ago, who had in fact left a guy and we have infact been happily trodding through this life ever since. So, thank you for your kind thoughts and well wishes.
A year ago I was so doped up on painkillers and antibiotics that I was wondering if everything was about to turn brown! Just looked in my day planner from this past year to see what I was actually doing.
And no, it wasn't even close to be this cold last year.

One year ago I was married and pretty miserable. Now we're 3 months separated and I'm equally miserable.
I have realized I have some pretty good friends, though. Also realized that I like to drink too much.
Got a Blackberry from work a while back. How did I live without it? It's a fucking addiction.
