"So long, so long... You'll never wait so long!" Well you waited, and they actually reunited. The band you kept telling me were the most influential American alternative rock bands of the late '80s... the one band's reunion tour that did not suck... and you didn't buy a T-shirt? Wait, what? You didn't even GO TO THE SHOW? You were lazy and gave your ticket to your friend Tyler at the last minute? Wow, you really blew it. The Pixies, man! How lame are you? Wait, don't hang up on me... Mr P just put this press release in my hand.
Hmm, it says the Pixies, who ended their eight month reunion tour this past December, are putting out two DVDs. A film crew followed the band in order to make a documentary DVD of the tour and another DVD of the fantastic onstage performances. According to billboard.com, the DVD's onstage performances are gleaned from six or seven concerts. (There are no plans for a live album since the band had released the authorized soundboard recordings of many of the 2004 shows sold via outlets such as DiscLive.) The DVDs may be packaged together' they're also not sure yet on a release date.
What's more, Frank Black will release two albums of material recorded this year in Nashville -- negotiations for the release of the first set, Honeycomb, are in progress with spinART. And Pixies bassist Kim Deal is set to record a new album with the Breeders, their first since 2002's Title TK (Elektra).
So, if you watch the DVD I guess you WILL get to see the sweater that incited the question on Web forums across the world, "Is it just me, or has Kim Deal turned into a soccer mom?" |

| Yes, a lot to look forward to indeed. Not a startling revalation in this article, but I like the way TMT writes their blurbs. Like a couple of snarky elitists sitting around discussing the state of music. Kinda like me and my imaginary friends. Oh Pablo and Leisl, what would I do without you? |

Actually Flashing Eyes... I think it means Journalists Lie .
And they way Frank is joking about it-- I would guess that would be a good sign.  |

| Well, plans might be off. Leisl is pissed caused I called him "Leisly" in the post above, and that's what I call him when I really want to "get his goat", but this time let's just say his "goat got me", and it was a bad scene, and I may have injured my pancreas. All that being said, I can still party pretty hard from a prone position, so if you bring tha Pixies, I'l bring tha flava and we'll have us merry old time. |
