Am I the only one who loved Bonanza as a child?
And these guys, they were like family.
I still believe in the excellent joy of the Frank |

I don't believe I've ever seen Bonanza. Way before my time.
Let 'em riot. We're Sonic-fuckin'-Death Monkey. |

Those are the guys? I thought there was a guy with black hair. Michael Landon is certainly wearing some suggestive pants.
I watched Bonanza all the time with my dad when I was little, but you can get most little girls to watch anything with horses in it, so I'm blaming my viewing habits on that. The song was totally kickass.

Yep, my whole family watched the show religiously. I remember the odd way they pronounced the old guys name. Pauw or something. The guy on the right moved to Little House On The Prairie. By then I was old enough to realise what a load of crap it was.
Another terrible series from that time was The Waltons.

I had a secret crush on Adam Cartwright, aka Pernell Elvin Roberts Jr., who went on to portray M*A*S*H*'s Trapper, in the spin-off Trapper John M.D. I'm talking primo cheesey sitcom action, here.
It's hard to type M*A*S*H*

I wasn't really into the show. Even as a kid, I was fully aware of Bonanza being horribly studiobound-- they were always on a soundstage. And they were too clean-cut to live in the 19th century. And Hoss was such a fucking doofus. |

Hoss was the prototype for Barney on the Simpsons, in my mind at least. Barney's hanging out at Moe's being stupid and burping and it's everything Hoss was yearning for, to bust out of the Ponderosa and get himself some brewskis.
Or something like that.

Holy shit, that's Adam Cartwright? I've never seen Trapper John (except the original one) but I thought that picture was of Sean Connery.

That looks like an older Michael Landon. Smells like a reunion show.
If we're talking hour long dramas from the 60s or 70s, I'll take Rockford Files. Rockfish was a real man. |

I remember this show. Can't remember if I liked it though. It reminds me of Sunday afternoons at my Grandma's house. Oh I must of liked it, it was about cowboys. I loved cowboys as a child, and still do.
