my mental faculties. You see, I saw floop's recent thread, which
is called "crock pots" but what I thought it meant was "crack pipes." This is disconcerting to me. Crack is the one drug I would never do. Why would my mind do this? Am I losing it? Where is my mind? Thank you, doctor.

Well Kathryn, let me put your mind at rest. I too thought what you thought and I have absolutely no interest in crack whatsoever.
I would put it down to that damn speed reading (skimming) again that we humans tend to do.

I never seem to meet any nice young men anymore. If by some chance I do come across someone I like, they're not interested. If they like me, I don't like them. Get my drift? I know it's probably some sort of fear of intimacy/self-sabotaging thing, but I still can't seem to overcome it. Please fix me, as I have been single now for far too long and it's making me cranky. Also, can I get a script for some vicodin? Thanks.

Oh dear, this sounds all too familiar. It's not like I never get girls, just, like you, I don't get the ones I want. It's not like I'm overly fussy, it's just that I seem to attract all the wrong sort of girls in some way or another and I'm left admiring the ones I want from afar (my god I sound like Kevin Swanson from Family Guy).
There is one possible solution, for us both in fact.

Rita? I am guessing your children are asleep in bed. I want to you to go and take a peek as they sleep. That's right, take a look at your beautiful children and remember exactly who you are. There is no one who knows who you are more than them. You are their mother, and a person as lovely as you can only have a positive impact on their lives forever. They will always love you and they will always rely on you in some way. No matter how up I am, how down I am. I always remember my mother and how much I love her. She grounds me when I feel like flying above it or sending myself below it.

You know, just because I'm not here when you post it doesn't mean I won't read it eventually.
If I really wanted some Vicodin I could just suck it out of an IV pump and no one would be the wiser. Actually another nurse where I work got arrested earlier this week for stealing PO liquid Vicodin. This is how much of an idiot she is: PO Vicodin is dark pink. She took it out of the UNTINTED GLASS BOTTLE and replaced it with 1/2 NS (salt water, basically), which is clear. We think she got confused and was trying to use it to cure her stupidity problem. I did get a kick out of watching them drag her away in handcuffs, though. And then of course gossiping about it for the rest of the afternoon made the work day fly by.
