My crock pot comment goes like this and is unrelated
to the spirit of your thread:

I once had a boyfriend who was way into the crock pot. Every
meal he cooked came from said crock pot. He also had a
deep fryer. He was amazing in bed.

i like the idea of throwing a bunch of stuff in a pot and having it cook to perfection, and then come home and enjoy a warm meal. i usually work really late so i don't feel like making dinner.

also, my co-worker is always telling me these stories about stuff he's made in his crock pot. i couldn't take it anymore

I love my crock pot.
I usually make a meal and make the next day's at the same time.
You can get recipe books with all crock recipes.

One of my faves and the easiest;

French Onion Soup
Equal parts water and onions (sliced long and thin)
1 tsp beef oxo per cup of water

And thats it, except its good to pour a bowl throw in a couple croutons and cheese and nuke for a minute.

I am too a big fan of the slow cooker, my pops used to put chicken and spices and plum tomatoes in in the morning before we went to work (it looked like sick) and then we'd get home and have a yummy curry smell in the house and perfect indian food to eat!

Aah, he used to do a great couscous thing in it as well.

We inherited one with the flat but I've not been brave enough to look at it yet, seeing as the previous occupier left us all sorts of 'presents' when we moved in, a bloodied tampon applicator tube in a drawer for one... Dirty bitch.
