Rumours.
What's the worst one you've ever heard about yourself?
Once, I returned to work from vacation to discover that my co-worker's wife (who did not work with us) had told people that
I would not be not returning because I'd suddenly decided to move to where I'd been on vacation (which strikes me as an impulsive, weird thing to do, just up and leave your life while on holiday). Some idiots believed her and most people did not and the gossip flew around the office. A couple of people actually told me they were surprised to see me back and working that Monday. When I calmly asked her why she went around her husband's and my office saying this about me, she blithely explained that she sincerely believed that that had been the case. My friend has since divorced her for this many other much worse reasons.
I know there are worse rumors, but I still seethe thinking about it.

For some reason, I seem to avoid having rumours started about me. I can't think of any. None other than the usual, "Did you sleep with *****?" etc etc. Perhaps I create enough gossip myself with my own actions.

That's weird, I was the victim of three-some rumors as well. Several times. During one of the alleged incidents I was actually working IN A CHURCH, not slumming around in a hot tub.
My best friend told everyone she met I was Cuban and lactose intollerant for many years. |

Call me boring, but I haven't had an affiar or been with another woman. |

I haven't heard very many rumours about myself.
But I do feel like alot of people I know assume things about me,
which irks me to no end, because they are usually wrong.
Edit:
I'm tired and grumpy and can't sleep so I'll think I'll add to that.
Lots of the time I think it irks me because these are people that are supposed to be close to me and it sucks to find out they have no clue about anything about me. I get choked because I think that if they care they would know things about me. But then again I grew up with alot of selfish people so I know I tend not to put myself right out there. So I'm always slightly confused as to which it is as it seems to happen so often. Well I hope that didn't come off as self pity. I'll prolly delete this tomorrow.

for a short time, at this gas station i worked at one summer, there was a rumor among the Mexican guys that i was related to this famous Mexican mafia ganster/murderer down in Mexico. because we have almost the exact same last name.
i went with it because it sounded cool.

Carolynanna, I am glad you posted that and encourage you
to keep it there because many people will relate, I certainly did.
You stated far better than I did why I was upset when that stupid
person spread that rumor about me. I'm not terribly interested in what people think about me but I hate it when I am misunderstood or badly misrepresented.
It's also pathetic that there are no juicy sex rumors about me, unlike so many of you guys. Ha!
