Any other piercings turn me off...the eyebrow is cool...and not freekin both and not multiples...one little 1/4" hoop...nice. |

We were talking about it in the pub last night and she offered, but I'm not so sure, I wouldn't mind having it done because I think it'd be fun to play with but I think I'd get bored of it really fast.
I used to have my tummy-button pierced but very stupidly I let a guy-I-worked-with do it, he used cheap jewellery which I was allergic to, a ring instead of a bar, so of course when I reacted to it and the surrounding area swelled I had to take it out by ripping it throught my navel. Which smarted a bit.
Floop, not being a bloke I can't answer your question but I did have a thing with a guy with lip and tongue piercings many moons ago... that was different!
And I'm not bothered so much about the era (as in so last decade) and I'm not bothered about the cock sucking inferences (people will think what they will anyway) but I'm applying for more courses at the moment and I don't want to give the wrong impression at interviews.
I might get another tattoo instead. I've been thinking of a paisley one for a while now.

I want my tongue pierced because I happen to like piercings and I think it's be fun to have one to play with, not because I want to run around and suck a thousand dicks. I'm not overly bothered whether people find it attractive or sexy or not because if I have it done I'll be having it done for me. My concern is that it'll look bad when I go for the PhD or if I go this way next year an MD interview.
A clit piercing is a clit, the core of female sexuality so no, assuming otherwise in this instance would be fucking stupid.

I would probably wait if I were you Tre. If there's no hurry, better to err on the side of caution and not let something like that possibly get in the way of your dreams. You never know if the people you have to impress will have a major stick up their butt.

I have a few old piercings, and now I'm just glad I never got tattoos. The holes don't go away. I took out my naval ring recently cause I was over it and now I've got an ugly little scab above my naval and scar tissue inside. Don't do it. ;(

But I'm with Darwin, aside from ear piercings, anything else is sort of a turn off of varying degree. My old-fashioned fuddy-duddy-dom also extends to tattoos. The severity of my dislike is related to location/the stud/tattoo, but generally I dislike them all. It just detracts from the art form that is the female body.

I almost got my tongue pierced when i worked in a piercing shop, but i couldnt get over the idea of havin a hole in my tongue. I thought it would feel weird when i spoke and stuff, and i saw the mess people where in after getting it done. I also watched a few people get pierced. gross.
dont know about the sex thing. i know a few people who have the done who all appear to be fairly promiscuous, but that may well be a coincidense!
Now I do as I please and lie through my teeth. Someone might get hurt but it won't be me. I should probably feel cheap but I just feel free and a little bit empty. No it isn't so hard to get close to me. There will be no arguments. We will always agree. And I will try and be kind when I ask you to leave. We will both take it easy. But if you stay too long inside my memory, I will trap you in a song tied to a melody and I will keep you there so you can't bother me. |

There's this beautiful girl who did some lame real TV show, French Pop Idol or something, and know has her own music show on TV. And for some reason I thought she had a pierced tongue.
Turns out the piercing is actually on her lower lip. I don't really like it. But I like pierced tongues.

Floop, my housemate has hers done and I would ask but she's still a little sore from her recent break up. If no one has answered by this evening (my time) we're going out to a spanish place for dinner, I'll get her drunk and quiz her.
I know from personal experience that kissing people with lip and tongue piercings is notably different, and a quite lovely difference at that, it's another feeling on top of something thats already quite nice, heightened stimulation sort of thing. I guess that must be what the..you...know.. is all about too.
And I do like the labaret that girl has, I really wantd a laberet when I was 16 but I had college interviews and worked in an operating theatre so it was out of the question really.
And as for tattoos, if I get my camera phone functional again I'll take a picture of the one I have, it's not horrendous you know. I've seen some exceptionally beautiful and exceptionaly feminine ones. The girl who does my friends tattoos down in birmingham her 'specialty' if you like is very sketchy fine lined and flowing tattoos, she did his entire forearm in a HR Geiger tat which, whilst not everyones cup of tea, is admirable. I think you'd appreciate it framed on a wall more than on someones skin. She also did a tattoo of Audrey Hepburn on his leg which is amazing.

Just be careful with metal bars through your tongue, rather go for plastic - (as with lip piercings) there's a nasty risk of chipped teeth.
The way I see it is at least you won't have a very visible scar if you don't like it or if you find people are weird about it. Quite often people don't even notice tongue piercings unless you play with them a lot. Friend of mine has 2 bars through her tongue and plays nonstop, so there's no missing them whereas one of my colleagues has one that took people 3 weeks to notice since she doesn't fiddle with it constantly.
I'd say go for it - but then you are speaking to someone who wants to tattoo either the inside of her wrist or right hand.
