Not necessarily the cheesey stuff - I mean the tunes you find yourself playing more at this time of year. This stuff always seems to make it onto my playlist round about now:
Red House Painters (most of "Songs for Blue Guitar") Tanya Donnelly (Whiskey Tango Ghosts) Mojave 3 (Ask Me Tomorrow) Morphine (Cure for Pain) XFM Christmas Album (yes this is probably cheating - but it is a damn fine complilation)
I guess this is more of a seasonal thing than an out and out Christmas thing. Actually alot of the stuff I listen to at this time of year is down right depressing - but it just seems to suit the cold/early evenings
"4000 posts I reach/And still not look as good as Dean, hmm?"
I know the manager for Boney M. Sort of. Well, shes a friends girlfriend..
Now I do as I please and lie through my teeth. Someone might get hurt but it won't be me. I should probably feel cheap but I just feel free and a little bit empty. No it isn't so hard to get close to me. There will be no arguments. We will always agree. And I will try and be kind when I ask you to leave. We will both take it easy. But if you stay too long inside my memory, I will trap you in a song tied to a melody and I will keep you there so you can't bother me.
I think the album actually entitled 'Ultimate Christmas Album' is the ultimate Christmas album. They weren't lying. Does exactly what it says on the tin.
