Any Tips? For example what do you listen to on the way to the show? PAvement, Frnak Black, Or some band called The Pixies? Also what if you miss the show for some random reason like the world blowing up, how do you handle that? Anyway pour your thoughts out. 12/18!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Put your tix in your wallet now... so you don't forget em. Make sure you bring your id and a map to the venue, if you need one.

I listened to the radio on the way to the show...

Order the show from Pixiesdiscs.com

It's always fun to meet up with fans before.

You want to make sure to don't drink too many liquids before the show so you have go get up and go to the bathroom during the middle of the show.

Have fun!!

Listen to whatever you want, do whatever you want as long as you don't mess things up for yourself. Daisy's right: make sure you have the tickets and anything else that will get you in that venue. And lay off the liquids. You don't want to be looking for the bathroom as they're starting "Crackity Jones."

Indeed, don't drink
listen to an exciting record on your way to the venue
doesn't have to be pixies
better if not
just something to pump your blood faster

i'm going to prep for my FOUR ny shows by listening to some jazz on my way there (nothing like walking through a christmas-time nyc w/ some vince guaraldi), having a small dinner and wearing comfortable clothes. i always hate winter shows because if you bring a coat you either a) have to check it or b) have to hold it all night or c) sweat your ass off. so i might just wear a cosby sweater and a thermal t-shirt to stay warm. man oh man am i excited! i'm going sunday, monday, thursday and saturday at midnight

Make sure you tie your shoes. You don't wanna trip and fall.

Brush your teeth. Ideally, you should be doing this everday anyway.

Carry an umbrella in case it rains.

On the way to the show, don't go with any stranger who offers you candy or a toy. Also be wary of strangers who ask you to help them find something like a lost dog. Never enter anyone's car.

I was a little worried about the fact that I would be stone-sober, but it didn't really detract much. Now if I had to be sober for Radiohead, well...

I'm attending several Pixies shows, and I found that liquids - particularly those that are golden, foamy and delicious - enhance the concert experience. Unfortunately, this does tend to create a need for one bathroom run during their set, which is the reason they offer Wave of Mutilation twice. I usually go during the acoustic version, having witnessed that one played many times over the years by FB.

Precisely! One should dunk one's head in honey before seeing the Pixies.
