Own limited-edition recordings of the Pixies final shows of 2004.
Only 1,000 discs will be made of ten of the shows and 2,500 will be made of the show in Boston and the final show in NYC.
Each double-disc comes in limited-edition digipak packaging.
These aren't CD-R's, but real, professionally mastered, silver-plated, pressed CDs.
Each package will be individually numbered and include pictures, a track list and notes from the specific show recorded.
Order online (coming soon) or at the show and we'll ship the CDs to you on or before January 7, 2004 through our friends at CD Baby.

When do you start?
Monday in Norfolk. Sorry we can't be there sooner, but we just got the word we'd be doing this, and want to make sure we offer the best possible recordings.
Can I purchase the CD at the venue?
These will be the best live Pixies CDs yet. We plan to produce the CDs just days after the concert ends and ship them to customers as soon as we can. But we will take the time to professionally master the CDs, press and replicate them, and provide custom cover art for each specific show. So while you'll be able to buy your CD at the concert, it will be shipped to you a few weeks after the show is over. Each edition is limited, so why wait -- order now to avoid disapointment.
How can I buy these discs?
We'll have information on how to buy the discs in the upcoming days.
How do I know I'll get them?
These are authorized recordings, produced by excellent audio engineers and approved by the Pixies and their management. We have partnered with CD Baby, an excellent music retailer, to handle all orders and shipping, so that you can be sure your order is always in good hands.
What do the CD's look like?
Better than anything you've seen before. We'll have artwork specific to each show, including photos of the show itself, the setlist, and more. Since we're producing the CDs after the show is over, you can be sure you'll receive a first class product. We hope to have a mock-up of the cover art availale soon.
Who should I contact with questions?
If you have a question with your order, contact CD Baby. If you have a question before you order, go ahead and e-mail crew@pixiesdiscs.com. We'll be on the road with the Pixies from Monday on, but will do our best to answer your questions as quickly as possible. |

So basically Massachusetts (the non-Boston parts, anyway) and Philly are getting the royal screw job here. Thanks, DiscLive. And thank God this new company is stepping in so as to not disappoint future concert goers!
I had planned on getting the 12/1 show as a Christmas present for my best friend, but that obviously fell through...

First off, we're really sorry that we can't have provided discs for the Lowell shows. That being said, we want to make sure we can do the best job we can, so that's why we've commited to Norfolk on. We WILL be at the show in Boston.
Secondly, we're thinking of having pictures of the concert itself grace the back cover of the case, but nothing has been finalized. We're still developing ideas, so stay tuned...

I am pre-ordering the 12/8 DAR show...boo yeah!
Whatever happened with disclive, etc. sucks, but I bet no one is smelling like roses on that issue. Everybody is trying to make money, there are no innocents.
Bottom line, I'm glad to get my show on disc. Plus cdbaby is a good company, they have worked with smaller bands that I follow so I feel good about them.
