Horrible Day, with Massif Centrale coming up behind without fail. Damn I love it when the man rocks it a little harder.

RUN
And this got me searchin and a surfin'. Oldman, i think you might like this, unless you've already read it:
http://www.atomicduster.com/interviews/gordon_gano/
AD: On your excellent “Hitting The Ground” album, you have worked with a glut of outstanding performers that would make other artists green with envy. If you had to pick one standout track, which would it be and why? Also, did you give each artist a guideline for how you wanted the tracks to come out, or is it totally their own interpretation?
GG: Thank you for enjoying ‘Hitting The Ground’. There isn’t one track that’s most special to me. I could make an argument for each one. For example ‘Run’. When I heard Frank Black sing this I thought, and still do, that this is one of my favourite lead vocals of all time.
You know, I think people in this world are just too afraid of onion breath, and... People gotta get over that, and I think the world will be a better place - frank black |

Thanks "FBC --- You Rock", great song, great vocals by The Man. Floop posted a picture a while back of Frank singing this one, red-faced, bulging veins in the neck, screaming "like he hates the bitch"...I'll look for it later.
"My Life Is In Storage"...huh, huh!

"My Life Is In Storage"...huh, huh...
lovin the vocals, huh!...:
"Just when you blow it, then you can stow it [huh!] My life is in storage, my life is in storage [huh, huh!]"
And then the last time he sings in somewhat of a whisper:
"I believe in your perfect face, I believe in your place in the sun Can we leave now this dusty space? can we have a little fun?"
...that's a nice, happily-ever-after ending, huh...

"Hate Me"
lovin it cause it's part of my "Honeycomb" anti-thesis CD mix...not that I don't enjoy the 'Comb and all of its predecessors (Softcore Frank Songs) it's just that my preference is the Hardcore Frank Songs...ergo, "Hate Me"

"I Switched You"
loving it cause...it's another Hardcore Frank Song (in essence, an expression of the eternal plea, "Go fuck yourself, I'm over you, leave me alone" [but of course Frank is able to express it much more eloquently than I!]

Yo, Guitar Man, I couldn't agree with you more concerning MiB. I have the EP (Part I with You Never Heard About Me, Pray a Little Faster, and Announcement, all of which qualify for my "Honeycomb" antithesis CD) in my car and I've put it on 3-4 times in the last 2 weeks, in between my spins of "Honeycomb". Hardcore Frank and Softcore Frank really complement each other quite nicely. I've just overloaded myself with "Honeycomb" lately, and I was Jones'n for some Hardcore Frank Songs. KNOW WHAT I'M SAYIN!

He knows. I can't speak on behalf of him, but recently i've been re-rocked by Do Nothing.
We both agree Honeycomb has been a blessing. Of course the new songs and all the joy they bring, but also the realisation of how good the past was. and still is. I personally appreciate both blessings in equal measures. It's my luxury in life.

"This Old Heartache"
lovin it cause it's track #1 from my Frank's Sad Love Songs CD mix...
"You can hypnotize me later And we'll sail into the heavens And our love will be the leaven As we dance among the craters But if I should leave this state Well, there's nothing you can do My dear you cannot soothe This old heartache (x3)"

"I Will Run After You"
lovin it cause...on this, track #4 from FSLS Disc I, Frank shows his vulnerable side...Get a hold of yourself Man! If she runs once, she's likely to run again.
(by the way, it's pretty cool/optimistic how Frank sings "if you leave" x11 and "I will Run After You" x12, as long as she keeps running, Frank's gonna run one more time to get her back. Persistent son of a bitch, huh.)

track #5 FSLS Disc I. I can't relate, but I'm sure it was sad for them.
