OK, here's the sad story: we were supposed to go to Rome this past week-end, and had booked 2 ticket planes with Volare Airlines. Turns out when we arrived at the airport on Saturday, we were told the company had declared bankrupcy a few hours before... That might sound funny but it's not, actually. So all we have now is the address of the company in Milan (there's not even a phone number) to try and get the refund of the tickets. I wrote a letter (in French) but I'd like to send it in English too, in case no one speaks French over there. And I was unable to write a proper letter with my bad english. Would somebody be kind enough to help me with this? Just send me a message, I'll send the letter to you and all you have to do is filling the blanks where I couldn't find the proper word. Thanks in advance.

Denis

Well, since Volare is Italian and in Italy they sometimes don't speak a great English, if you like I can translate it from English into Italian...

Just a thought (I am Italian).

Yeah, I thought about translating it into Italian, but you know, if they write me back in the same language I won't understand a word... So I figured it would be easier to send the letter in english.
Thanks anyway for the offer, it's much appreciated.

I'm italian too and also speak some french so I'd be very pleased to give you some help. Let me know.
By the way, I found these:
Customer Care Fax number: (+39) (0)2-67363097
Phone number ( only from France ): +39 (0)79-2854540
For both numbers, I don't know whether you should dial the (0) or not ( you have to if calling from Italy )
Anyway, from what I know, if you made your reservations through a travel agency, they should take care of refund practices.
Good Luck
P.S.: I suggest you write them in Italian anyway, it should be easier to get a reply, and if they do reply in Italian we'll be here helping you out again!

You should write it in Esperanto, Denis.

You will never see your cash anyway.

Monsieur, that's mean. Of course you're right, but that's mean anyway...

Update: the amazing Bill "Scarla O" did a great job at correcting my letter. Thanks to everyone who offered some help.

well denis, i didn't want to hurt you and i think you really should write a letter and fight for your right, although the odds are six to one.

at least five song titles are hidden in my message. will you find them?

Nobody in the entire world speaks Esperanto. That's why it's the universal language. It's universally unrecognizable.
