American Laundromat Records (ALR) offers exclusive CD pre-sale for The Bennies new record. CD’s can be ordered directly online from http://www.americanlaundromatrecords.com/mailorder.html CD’s are $10.00 each (S&H is free), and all payments are handled safely and securely by PayPal.
The Bennies, “Turn The Hourglass Sideways” offers 11 explosive punk-inspired tracks with dynamic time-changes, angst-felt lyrics, and catchy melodies from this Massachusetts based quartet who will be joining The Pixies tour on November 30th for several shows. The Bennies were hand-picked by Frank Black of The Pixies to open shows after successful tours in the past with Frank Black and the Catholics. Their unique recipe of sound blends edgy rock guitar riffs, catchy melodic vocals, and driving juggernaut rhythms with a heavy psychedelic dose of Modern '67. Since forming in September of 1998, The Bennies have recorded three albums to date: Their self-titled debut, recorded at WSYC 88.7 FM studios in early 1999, 'Fossil Record', recorded in May of 2000 with studio maven Steve Albini (Nirvana, Bush, Pixies, Breeders, etc.), and their new record 'Turn The Hourglass Sideways' which is now exclusively available through ALR mail order.
American Laundromat Records is a New York based record label that has been compared to a young SubPop and Twin Tone. Since launching the label in April of 2004, ALR has managed to build an impressive roster of artists and release records that have been embraced by critics and college radio. Their first compilation CD “TRANSISTOR” featured 16 tracks and was called “an important record” by Modification Magazine.

Yeah, this album is fucking great, and reaks of genius from one Jeremy Dubs. Listen and drool.
I guess I just wasn't made for these times. |
