This isn't a case of misspelling, but it annoys me every time: people almost always misuse the word "disinterested." Big diff between "disinterested" and "uninterested."

Oh and "effect" and "affect." A good mnemonic device is the Jam's excellent album Sound Affects. Oh, how I love pre-Style Council
Paul Weller. How's that for a digression?

Since we've moved out the realm of misspelling, "irregardless" isn't a word.

I thought "regardless" and "irregardless" meant the same thing, sort of like "flammable" and "inflammable."

How about people who mispronounce words?

It drives me nuts when people say jewlery.

And can we all agree to abide by this rule:

If you can't pronounce the word "nuclear" correctly, you shouldn't be allowed to run a nation that has nukes.

Croissant. How hard is this to pronounce correctly. It is not crosson.

Aargh! That reminds me: eXpresso.
