I'm looking to purchase. My biggest criteria being I want to carry my music around EVERY place I go. Is the Ipod too clumsy for that? Heavy in the pocket? Jesus Christ, I'm going crazy debating back and forth. Help? |

i don't find my 40gig iPod cumbersome at all. i love it. i think it should be fine for a jacket pocket or a backpocket if you're walking somewhere

The mini is cute and all, but the original iPod makes a hell of a lot more sense. $50 more than the mini and you get 5 times the capacity. Physically, it's not even that much bigger. Go with the original.
I guess I just wasn't made for these times. |

I don't see the point in the iPod mini. Ive got a 20Gb iPod (and felt sick during a recent visit to Hong Kong when I saw a 40Gb for the same price as my 20Gb), and thats full of tunes.... its great to carry them around and listen to whatever you want whenever you want.
I read somewhere that they are thinking of banning iPods because of Piracy issues.... anyone heard about this?
This is a high class bureau de change, not some Punch & Judy show on the seafront at Margate! |

As far as mp3 players go though, the iPod is not the only option. I've owned my Rio Karm for about six months now, and I'm so happy with it. Its dimensions are a little more bulky than the iPod's, but I still carry it around carefully in my front pocket. It holds 20 gigs, and is about fifty dollars cheaper than the comprable iPod. Check it out at www.riovolution.com
Turn the spit on that pig and kick the drum and let me down. Put my clarinet beneath your bed 'til I get back in town.

I hate Ipods.
I prefer the good ol' Portable CD player that scratches up all my cd's.
