I saw Anchorman:The Legend Of Ron Burgundy the other night and was pleasantly surprized at how funny it was(the jazz flute, street fighting and dog-bear conversation are particular highlights). Saw was pretty good, even if it was trying to outdo Se7en in the nastiness stakes...AVP was pretty cruddy, some cool moments but the Predator describing the effect of the explosive device was a real cringe-worthy moment(like a lot of it). Anyone seen Oldboy? I wanna see it, but it'll probably end up on DVD soon enough, given it's limited release. Hero is just out over here-anyone see that?

Hero was pretty looking, but lame. It tried to out crouching tiger crouching tiger, and in some ways it did.
The Incredibles was fairly incredible, though, and it had the star wars triler in front of it.

the incredibles didn't dissappoint at all - saw was disappointing - so much potential, and it really blew it in the last 45 minutes.

looking forward to (maybe) seeing sideways this weekend

"Five Obstructions", Lars Von Trier

This really surprised me. At first I felt irritation, thought it was going to be pointless etc., but it slowly grew into understanding -this was a real work of art. That guy Lars is a maniac, but very cool.

I need to catch the last of it - they just played it on Sundance the other night. The basis for the movie, "The Perfect Human", is going to be on Sundance on Monday I think.

This movie really inspired me -I'm trying to write lyrics for someone right now, and they just started flowing during this movie. Here's a link to a review

I was just gonna start a topic about Anchorman but I needn't bother now. I thought it was the funniest film I have seen in a long time. I have a copy that my friend downloaded from Limewire. Can't wait 'til it comes out on DVD over here.

Help me! He keeps making me post!
