I'm wearing a light blue shirt with long sleeves. Couldn't find any with short sleeves.

I have no idea what to wear today, I'm looking at my clothes and checking the BBC weather thingy, it's bucketing it down outside, do I go all gothicky and wear the long black swishy skirt and big black sketcher boots? do I go all retro and work with the plaid brown brushed cotton pinstripe flares with the old school adidas trainers, do I still pretend it's summer and wear the blue cord skirt with sandals...

it's such a trauma for so early in the morning

It's going to still be warmish - so do a mix - sandals might be a pain in the ass if there's loads of rain though

I'm wearing yellow t-shirt, jeans, platform wedges, studded antique cuff thingy and (how pathetic I've succumbed like a lemming) my Mastodon charity wristband and way too much black eyeliner

You are a wise woman Nic not only in clothing but in how much coffee one should have in the morning, settled on afore mentioned brown flares (trousers which are actually the right length, bless whoever invented petite ranges) pink and brown canvas trainers (not the old school adidas because they are too heavy if that makes sense) see through long black floaty top with a v neck jumper over the top for the sucky weather moments on the journey into the labs via the bank, a balance indeed.
