I am currently dating an American girl from San Francisco and tonight we went out with a friend of her's. I found really strange that they went to the bathroom together so I asked her what they were doing. She told "I can't believe you're suspicious about it" and hardly talked to me the rest of the night.
Is it an American thing, that girls go the bathroom together?
What should I do? I need advice for tomorrow. Any American girls on the forum?

I'm male, but American. From what I've learned women go to the bathroom together often mostly because they need moral support through every action in their life but other than that it's where they hatch their diabolical plots to make us men go completely fucking insane. Believe that, foo.

It is apparently something that is typical here. I never understood it either. But then again, I never really understood a lot of things, and I'm sure I missed out on all the diabolical planning and nasty gossip while doing more important things. This might partially explain why I was ostracized in Catholic school.
Well, that, and that part in Religion class where I told Sister Jean Ann Zappa that there was no such thing as original sin, and that she was misconstruing Christ's teachings. heh

It's not necessarily gossip. If you're on a double date it could be "I wanna be alone with him, you guys split in an hour."
Of course it could also be, "If you leave me here with this asshole I'll never forgive you as long as you live."
I think more than anything it's just a left over habit from high school. I still do it with my friends without even thinking about it, regardless of whether we're out with guys or not. Then again, I'm shallow, superficial and psychotic. |

Well I just made the mistake of trying to talk to my ex on AIM. That sure was a good idea. She basically told me to not talk to her, that I'm just a bother. Sometimes the heart bleeds. Sometimes you just want to rip others out.

Women go to the bathroom together to co-analyze events as they transpire. One will ask the other "did you pick up x or y in his voice? What do you think that meant?" and the other will answer. Doing that makes you sick mentally from obsessing and physically from spending too much time with the bathroom's native microbes.

It's because women's restrooms are filled with such regal comforts that we would never even begin to dream of as men. Plush carpets, couches just to sit on and take a load off...
I hear that some of the nicer ones even have live bands play, and snack bars that serve hors'de'oeuvers (sp) and fine wine.
What could be better than a swan dive into the asphalt?

Maybe it doesn't help, but spanish girls do the same. I thought it was a whole world conspiracy. Perhaps french girls were distracted with the handsome fine dressed local boys during the women council.
