so, a boyhood dream of mine was to play a show with the pixies and sonic youth. i used to say that was all i wanted to accomplish!
well,
at voodoo fest in new orleans, my two bands and some other allies have come together to have two stages of our own. one will be setup next to the stage that sonic youth, and then the pixies will play on!
one of my bands ( Nag Hammadi) will be treating (?) the crowd with our psycadelic "modern eastern" music during the set change before sonic youth. and i think my other band ( Worms Union) will be playing the time slot between SY and the pixies!
so, we are SORTA opening up! we are on the same poster at least ! :)
at any rate, i know from years past that you can hear our stage from the mainstage's backstage area, so i am hoping you will listen frank!
if you hear a solid body electic bouzouki (that i made :) ) being played loudly if not gracefully, then you'll know it is being played by someone who considers you a mantor...
